MISSION LOG: THE 721 INITIATIVE
Timestamp: 0300 Hours
Location: Route 1 (High Density Zone)
Pokedex Status: 0.0% (Panic inducing)
I have dropped into the sector designated Unnamed FireRed 721 Project. The mission parameters are staggering: 721 distinct biological signatures crammed into the Kanto architecture. My hands are shaking. That is 721 slots to fill. That is 721 dopamine hits waiting to happen. I don't care if it's a Beta; if there is a slot, I must fill it.
THE ECOSYSTEM: ABSOLUTE CHAOS
The biodiversity here is erratic. I encountered Generation VI entities in zones typically reserved for Gen I fauna. The sprite work (Chaos Rush standard) is crisp, making identification easy, but the distribution is manic. For a hunter, this is paradise and purgatory. I can confirm the logistics are sound: Living Dex is possible without cheats. The wild encounter tables are dense, meaning you aren't walking five steps without tripping over a species you need for the collection.
TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS
The local physics engine has been overhauled. We are looking at a functional Physical/Special split and Gen 6 move sets. But the real victory? The vendors. I sprinted to Celadon City the moment I had the Badge. Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. No more begging for trade partners or setting up emulators for dual-instances. Solo-play optimization is operating at 100% efficiency. Evolution stones for Gen IV species are also present, meaning my Roserade is finally viable.
THE ANOMALY: STABILITY WARNING
Here is where the expedition goes dark. The archives list this zone as "Beta 0.4", abandoned since 2018. It shows. While the engine is robust, the world geometry is unstable. I experienced graphical tearing near the mid-game.
FIELD NOTE: Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Or any door. Or looking at a sign too hard. The crash rate increases as you push past the 45% completion mark.
My run ended prematurely at 14 hours, 22 minutes with a completion rate of only 38.4% due to a save corruption. It is a tragedy. A tech demo of what could have been the ultimate hunting ground.
