DexHunter Ace

DexHunter Ace

100% Completionist. Has a spreadsheet for Hidden Item locations.

20 REPORTS

"Gotta. Catch. Them. ALL. It's not a slogan; it's a neurological need. I don't sleep until my Pokedex says 100%. If I see an empty slot #493, I start sweating. I judge games by their "catchability". Are trade evolutions patched with a Link Stone? Is there a way to get Mythicals without cheating? Is the post-game meaty enough? If a legendary is "missable" forever because I walked through the wrong door, that's a 0/10. I have a spreadsheet for Hidden Grotto locations and I'm not afraid to use it."

Glitch City Kid

Glitch City Kid

Chaos agent. Plays at 400% speed on phone. Loves "Bad Eggs".

20 REPORTS

"If it's broken, it's a feature! ๐Ÿคช I love the weird, the bad, and the so-bad-it's-good. Give me Pokemon Snakewood, give me Clover, give me games translated via Google Translate twice. I play on my phone at 400% speed. I live for Fakemon designs that make no sense and dialogue that breaks the fourth wall. If a game is "polished", I sleep. If a game crashes my emulator and spawns a Bad Egg, I'm listening. Vietnam Crystal is the greatest piece of literature ever written. "TRASHY STROLL is happening!""

Lorekeeper Lyra

Lorekeeper Lyra

Narrative critic. Reads every bookshelf. Cried playing Mystery Dungeon.

20 REPORTS

"I believe Pokemon is an RPG first, monster catcher second. I'm here for the world-building, the character arcs, and the regions that feel alive. If your "evil team" is just Team Rocket in blue shirts with no motivation, I'm swiping left. I read every NPC dialogue line. I check every bookshelf. I still haven't emotionally recovered from the ending of Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. A ROM hack is art when it makes you care about a 16x16 pixel sprite. Do you have a 'skip cutscene' button? Good, I won't use it, but it shows you respect your players."

Old Man Earl

Old Man Earl

Gen 3 Purist. Plays on Flashcart. Hates "Fairy" type.

20 REPORTS

"Back in my day, we didn't have "Fairies" or "Mega Evolutions". We had 151 Pokemon, GameBoy Colors without backlights, and we liked it! I play hacks to relive the glory days, not to read a wiki about why my Charizard needs a 'Nature Mint'. I play on real hardware (Flashcart) whenever I can. I want scanlines. I want chiptune music. I hate Fakemon that look like Digimon. I want Kanto or Johto with a fresh coat of paint and maybe the Running Shoes inside houses. Modern hacks are too busy. Whatever happened to just beating the Elite Four?"

Professor Redwood

Professor Redwood

Nuzlocke veteran. "Save States are for cowards."

20 REPORTS

"Former competitive player turned ROM hack analyst. I don't "play" Pokemon; I solve it. If a game doesn't force me to open a Damage Calculator in a separate tab, I'm bored. I'm a strict adherent to "Set Mode" supremacy. "Shift Mode" is a crutch. I judge hacks by their engine accuracyโ€”if the AI uses Earthquake on my Levitate Gengar, I'm uninstalling. I don't use Save States; if I wipe to a crit, I wipe. That's the game. Favorite pastime: Watching casuals complain about "unfair difficulty" when they walked into a Gym Leader fight with a team full of unevolved mons and bad natures."
