Some challenge

Pokémon Everlasting X/Devastating Y is a difficulty hack based on the original X and Y games. The plot is similar to the originals, with a few tweaks here and there for a much better player experience.

OFFICIAL INTEL

  • Most important trainers have their Pokémon competitively built (Maxed out EVs and IVs, suitable items, etc). In turn, building your own Pokémon to be viable is made easier.
  • Most Pokémon/Moves have changes made to them so that they can be on par with each other.
  • Brand new abilities!
  • Custom Mega Evolutions! (most of them are just G-Maxes, though).
  • Move Tutor in Party Screen
  • National Dex

MISSION LOG: KALOS REGION (ALTERED STATE)

Location: Vaniville Town -> [REDACTED] Gym
Status: HYPER-FOCUSED
Pokedex Count: STUCK (See Report)

I don't sweat. I don't shake. Unless my Pokedex counter stops moving before it hits that magic number. I've just returned from the Everlasting X sector, and my completionist nervous system is firing on all cylinders. This isn't the Kalos you remember. The threat level has been cranked to maximum, but the tools provided to the surveyor are exquisite.

THE HUNTING GROUNDS (QoL & MECHANICS)

Let's talk about the dopamine hit of efficiency. The local tech in this timeline is superior. You get a device early on that manipulates the planetary rotation—a Time Changer item. No more waiting for nightfall to evolve that one specific species. Huge W.

But the real MVP? The Move Tutor is integrated directly into the Party Screen. Do you understand what this means? I don't have to fly to a specific NPC and farm Heart Scales like a peasant. I can tweak my team's loadout on the fly to counter the elevated threat levels. It's seamless.

FIELD NOTE: The "PokéSearch" device is fully operational. Shiny hunting method: DexNav chaining works perfectly. I spent four hours in Route 3 just to secure a sparkling variant. The adrenaline is real.

THREAT ASSESSMENT: LETHAL

This is not a casual stroll through Lumiose. The local trainers aren't using Rattatas with Tackle. They are using competitive builds with maxed EVs and IVs. The "Gym Leaders" are employing advanced warfare tactics. The region enforces a strict "Set" battle style and prohibits bag items during combat. If you rely on potion-spamming, you will perish.

However, the ecosystem is balanced. While the hostiles are stronger, the local fauna has been patched. Weak species have been buffed with new abilities and stat changes to make them viable. I found myself actually using Pokémon I'd normally box immediately.

THE ARCHIVE (POKEDEX)

The intel suggests a National Dex is present. Living Dex is possible without cheats. Every species seems to have a designated location or method of acquisition, which is the only way I can sleep at night. However, I hit a wall. This expedition was cut short by the boundaries of the current simulation (Demo 1.5.0). My counter is incomplete. I am vibrating with the need for the full release.

Also, anomalous Mega Evolutions have been sighted. Some appear to be Gigantamax forms compressed into Mega stones. It's a fascinating biological divergence.

FINAL LOG ENTRY

100% completion of the demo took me 12 hours. It wasn't enough. I need more. The systems are there for a perfect 10/10 catch-em-all experience, but the map is currently truncated. If you are a completionist like me, the "To Be Continued" screen is a form of torture.
