Some challenge

Welcome to the Zoala Region! It is a beautiful place where is full of Pokemon and people living together. With the active support from human, Pokemon uses their special powers and help everyone to build cities – create energy for producing food and planting trees – etc. And the symbol of this region is Eevee with its forms. No one knows why Eevee was chosen to be a symbol like this, maybe that is a myth – a legend or something like that. And in Zoala Region, there is a small village named Mealva. In Mealva village, there is a boy called “you” (hehe, our main character). You have been living here since the day you were born, and now is the 10th year. You officially get permission to become a Pokemon Trainer and get your first Pokemon. On his business trip here, Professor Oak also gives you the Pokemon you want. Okay, time to go out!!!

MISSION LOG: ENTRY #001 - THE ZOALA ANOMALY

DexHunter Ace here. Pulse is steady at 120 BPM. I've just dropped into the Zoala Region, and my sensors are picking up conflicting signals. The archives labeled this expedition as "Completed v0.1.7", but the ground reality screams "Alpha Test Site". My completionist anxiety is already spiking. I have 386 slots to fill (potentially 493 depending on the tech level), and I need to know if this region is viable for a 100% run.

THE CATCH: EEVEE PROTOCOLS

The local culture is obsessed with Eevee. Finally, a civilization that understands priorities. Instead of the standard elemental triangle, you are issued a Flareon or Vaporeon immediately. This is a fascinating deviation from standard Kanto protocol. However, my excitement was dampened when I checked the regional Dex data.

  • Starter Availability: High. Kanto starters are reportedly catchable later.
  • Wild Data: Distribution is erratic.
  • The Goal: Living Dex is possible without cheats. Or at least, it would be if the region didn't end abruptly.

VISUALS & TERRAIN

The visual landscape of this region is vibrant, unlike anything in the Kanto sector. The architects (U-Hacks) have overhauled the tilesets. Mealva Village has a distinct, rustic vibe that separates it from Pallet Town clones. However, the pathfinding is treacherous.

FIELD NOTE: Anomalies detected in the map boundaries. I walked into a fence and stuck there for 10 minutes. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Or entering a door. Or walking through tall grass. Save constantly.

THE QOL REPORT (QUALITY OF LIFE)

As a veteran Explorer (LVL. 100), I demand efficiency. I don't have time for slow text speeds. Zoala is running on legacy FireRed engines. I searched the local marts desperately. I was praying for the holy grail: Best QoL: Infinite Repel system. Negative. We are back to manual spraying, people. It feels like the stone age.

Furthermore, the "Alpha" nature of the beast means many features are theoretical. The intel claimed "Routes have been adjusted", which is code for "We moved the grass patches." It's not enough to satisfy the itch.

MISSION DEBRIEF

I spent about 4 hours mapping the available zones. Usually, 100% completion took me 85 hours in a region of this potential size, but Zoala is currently a fragment of a world. It's a proof of concept, not a hunting ground. The Eevee lore is promising, but an empty Pokedex is a haunting thing.
