LOG ENTRY: THE YELLOW SECTOR ANOMALY
Timestamp: 0300 Hours
Location: Unknown Coordinates (Allegedly Kanto)
Status: Agitated. Pokedex at 42%. Caffeine levels critical.
Listen to me. I dropped into Pokemon Yellow Plus expecting a standard Kanto reconnaissance mission. You know the drill: Pikachu follows you, Brock wears a shirt, we catch 151, we go home. Simple. Clean. A neurological balm.
WRONG.
The Official Intelligence briefing mentioned a "deep, dark and twisted story." I thought that was marketing fluff. It wasn't. This isn't just a palette swap; it's a fundamental alteration of the timeline. The region feels... off. The vibe is unstable. And for a completionist? Instability is the enemy.
THE COLLECTION PROTOCOL (DEX STATUS)
Here is where I start sweating. The intel promised a "selection of Pokemon from all generations." Do you know what the word "selection" does to me? It implies omission. It implies holes in the database. I need ALL of them. Not a "selection."
- The Catch: You can find species from Johto, Hoenn, and beyond, but the distribution logic is chaotic. I found entities in routes where they have no biological business being.
- The Mechanics: There are "Type Differences." I threw a standard Net Ball at a target assuming Water-type, and it bounced off because the local laws of physics (Type Chart) have been tampered with. I had to re-calibrate my entire capture strategy.
- Availability: Living Dex is possible without cheats. Or at least, it seems to be. I haven't hit a hard wall yet, but the "Beta 1.3" tag on this world scares me. If I get to 99% and find out Arceus is bugged, I'm going to scream.
ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS & NARRATIVE
The visual landscape is a bizarre hybrid. It claims to be GBA architecture (FireRed/Emerald engine), yet it carries the spirit of the GBC era. But the story... it's not the cheerful adventure you remember. There are narrative hooks here that veer into psychological territory.
FIELD NOTE: Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Seriously. The "twisted" nature of the story means some interactions are one-way trips. I almost locked myself out of a legendary encounter because I chose the wrong dialogue option. That is a 0/10 design choice for a Collector.
THE VERDICT: INCOMPLETE DATA
I spent 32 hours in this sector. My Pokedex is a mess of non-sequential numbers. The "New Regions" promised in the briefing are fascinating but feel like they are held together by duct tape and dreams. The QoL is present—running shoes are standard issue—but it lacks the polish of the Unbound sector.
Is it catchable? Yes. Is it safe? No. This is a Beta environment. Proceed only if you enjoy the thrill of the unknown and don't mind if your save file potentially implodes.
