MISSION LOG: THE AMAFUSIO ANOMALY
Location: Amafusio Region
Time: 03:42 AM (I haven't slept in two days)
Pokedex Status: 87%... and stalling.
Listen to me carefully. The Amafusio Region is not standard operating procedure. I dropped into this zone expecting a standard Kanto remix, but the cartography is completely alien. The local atmosphere is vibrant—the visual landscape of this region is vibrant, unlike anything in the Kanto sector—but my neurological need for order is being tested. Why? Because the Pokedex has been re-ordered. Do you know what that does to a man who memorized the National Dex by index number? It’s chaos.
THE COLLECTION PROTOCOL
I spent the first six hours just trying to recalibrate my spreadsheets. The local fauna (Pokemon) have had their evolutionary biology rewritten. We are talking altered evolutions across the board. The good news? It seems the local scientists realized that trading to evolve is a logistical nightmare in the field. From my field tests, it appears a Living Dex is possible without cheats. I didn't have to hook up a second GBA to get a Gengar. That alone saves this mission from being a total wash.
FIELD NOTE: Keep your eyes peeled for returning personnel from the 'Septo Conquest' operation. If you played that simulation, you'll recognize faces. If not, they're just more obstacles between you and a 100% completion rating.
THREAT LEVEL: ELEMENTAL LORDS
Here is the kicker: There are no Gyms. Zero. Instead, the region is governed by four "Elemental Lords." This changes the pacing of the catch-grind significantly. You aren't badge-checking; you are hunting bosses. These entities hit harder than your average Gym Leader. I walked into the Fire Lord's domain under-leveled and got wiped. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. I'm serious. If you mess up the sequence, you might lock yourself out of specific encounters, and nothing hurts more than a 385/386 count because you fainted a static encounter.
FINAL ANALYSIS
The region is beautiful, yes, but it feels... unstable. The "Beta 3" designation on the package usually sends shivers down my spine—it implies the mission might be aborted halfway through. However, the intel suggests this is a complete operation. I pushed through to the end. 100% completion took me 85 hours. It was a grind, and the re-ordered Dex nearly broke my spirit, but the satisfaction of conquering a new region with unique mechanics is undeniable.
