LOG ENTRY: 04:00 AM - THE MOGA SECTOR
My eyes are burning. I've been staring at the terminal for six hours straight trying to parse the data from the Moga Region. The intel claimed this was a standard FireRed simulation, but the topography has been shifted. It's Kanto, but... wrong. New routes, updated maps. My completionist itch started tingling the moment I stepped into the tall grass.
First observation: The local dialect is French. I had to update my translation firmware on the fly. If you don't speak the language, you're going to be navigating by muscle memory alone. For a Hunter like me, that's dangerous. You might agree to a trade you didn't understand.
THE CATCH: GENERATION 1 THROUGH 7
The biodiversity here is off the charts. We aren't just dealing with the standard 151. We are talking Gen 1 through 7 inhabitants roaming these modified routes. My Pokedex counter is ticking up, but the anxiety is setting in. With this many species crammed into a GBA cartridge, the distribution rates are chaotic.
NOTE: Keep your eyes peeled. Spawn tables feel unstable. I encountered species that shouldn't exist in this timeline.
I attempted to organize my boxes for a full collection. Living Dex is possible without cheats... theoretically. But the sheer volume of creatures in a region this volatile (Beta v1 status) makes me sweat. I'm constantly checking for save corruption. There is nothing more terrifying than a corrupted save file at 98% completion.
THE DREAM WORLD ANOMALY
Intel mentioned a "Dream World." I found the entry point. It's surreal, disjointed. A pocket dimension obviously designed to house the overflow of Mythicals and rare spawns. This is where the hunt gets serious.
Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. The scripting in these custom zones can be fragile. I walked into a warp tile and wasn't sure if I'd ever come back out. If you trap yourself in a logic loop without a backup save, that's 40 hours of gameplay flushed down the drain. I don't take those risks.
QUALITY OF LIFE (OR LACK THEREOF)
I'm looking for the modern amenities. Where is my DexNav? Where is my auto-sort? The technology here feels dated, stuck in 2019. I'm manually tracking EVs on a notepad like a caveman.
- Visuals: The map updates are vibrant, a nice coat of paint on the old Kanto structure.
- Mechanics: Physical/Special split seems present, but the move sets are a mix of generations.
- The Grind: 100% completion took me 85 hours. Okay, that's a projection. I had to abort the mission at hour 12 because the "Beta" nature of the world started showing cracks. Empty dialogue boxes. Glitch textures.
MISSION DEBRIEF
The Moga Region is a fascinating artifact, but it's not a stable environment for a serious Level 100 Explorer. It feels like an expedition that was abandoned halfway through. The Gen 7 roster is tempting, but without the polish of a finished engine, it's just a tease. I can't fill a Pokedex if the world dissolves under my feet.
