MISSION LOG: REGION AYREI (Vanguard Sector)
Time: 03:42 AM (local)
Location: Unknown Safehouse, Chapter 35
Status: Twitching. Caffeinated. Incomplete.
I have just extracted myself from the Ayrei region, and I need to organize my PC boxes immediately. This isn't just a region; it's a taxonomic anomaly. We are talking about the Modern Era. No more ten-year-olds wandering into the woods with a lizard. You need a license. You need training. But more importantly, I need those Regional Variants.
THE REGISTER (POKEDEX ANALYSIS)
Listen to me carefully. There are 28 Starter Pokemon. Twenty. Eight. And 22 of them are Regional Variants exclusive to Ayrei. My collection instincts went into overdrive the moment the Professor opened the briefcase. I spent four hours just soft-resetting to see the shiny palettes before I realized I could just catch them later. (Please tell me I can catch them later. If they are missable, I will scream.)
The local Pokedex technology is lightyears ahead of the standard issue. It displays base stats and learnsets for every entity you scan. No more tabbing out to a wiki on my PokeGear while a Garchomp is breathing down my neck. This is efficiency. This is optimization.
FIELD NOTE: The sheer volume of Canon Pokemon up to Generation 9 means the biodiversity here is dense. Living Dex is possible without cheats. Or at least, it will be once the region is fully mapped.
QUALITY OF LIFE (THE GOOD STUFF)
I almost wept when I received the Infinite Repel. You get it right after picking your starter. Do you understand how much money I save on Max Repels? Best QoL: Infinite Repel system. It allows me to curate my encounters perfectly. If I want to hunt, I hunt. If I want to sprint to the next objective, the path is clear.
Also, the EXP All device is standard issue immediately. No grinding individual team members against Level 3 Pidgeys. The entire squad eats. This keeps the pacing tight, which is good, because the map is sprawling.
ANOMALIES & THREATS
The hostile faction, "Renegades," are actual threats, not just grunts in bad costumes. But the weirdest phenomenon? The Gym Leaders. They aren't the leaders you know. They are... cosplayers? Super fans battling with themed teams based on old legends. It's disorienting, but the combat data is solid. The difficulty is fair, but spikes can occur if you ignore the mechanics.
WARNING: This simulation is currently IN PROGRESS. The log ends at Chapter 35. I hit the edge of the known world around the 38-hour mark. Current content completion took me 38 hours. Seeing that "To Be Continued" screen when my Pokedex was still unfinished caused mild heart palpitations.
VERDICT
This is a collector's playground disguised as a tactical RPG. The Regional Variants alone make it a mandatory excursion for anyone maintaining a Living Dex across the multiverse. However, the mission is not over. The map is incomplete.
I am setting up camp here until the next patch drops. I will not leave until the counter hits 100%.
