LOG ENTRY: THE COMBAT POCKET DIMENSION
I’ve been dropped into a sealed sector of the Borrius region. Coordinates: Battle Frontier. There is no route to the mainland. No Gyms. No story fluff. Just pure, unadulterated combat and capture mechanics. My Pokedex shows hundreds of empty slots that I physically cannot fill because the borders are locked, and frankly, I’m hyperventilating. But the density of content in this single square mile is staggering.
This isn't a journey; it's a gauntlet. The local administration (Creator: Skeli) has constructed a sandbox so advanced it makes the Silph Co. headquarters look like a lemonade stand. I have access to a Sandbox Mode to generate Pokemon instantly for testing. While that feels like cheating to my purist sensibilities, for a combat simulation, it's efficient.
THE FACILITIES: THREAT LEVEL EXTREME
There are five distinct combat zones here. The AI doesn't just pick random moves; it predicts switches. It calculates damage ranges. It knows your fear. Post-game is massive. Battle Frontier included. In fact, that's all this is. The Battle Tower, the Circus... it's a grinder. I spent 12 hours just optimizing a team for the Battle Mine.
THE HUNT: SAFARI & RAIDS
Even in a combat demo, the urge to collect cannot be stifled. The Safari Zone is operational. The mechanics are modernized—no more throwing rocks and hoping for the best. We have actual agency here. Plus, Raid Dens are scattered throughout the facility grounds.
NOTE: Raid Bosses put up shields. Bring shield-breaking moves or you will time out.
I tested the local tracking tech. Shiny hunting method: DexNav chaining works perfectly. Seeing the potential IVs and hidden abilities before the encounter? It releases the good chemicals in my brain.
QUALITY OF LIFE: OPTIMIZED
The interface is snappy. Moving items, managing PCs, checking IVs/EVs—it’s all instantaneous. Navigating the park areas is seamless. Best QoL: Infinite Repel system. I didn't encounter a single unwanted Zubat while traversing the hub world. That alone is worth the ticket price.
My completion percentage is stuck because this is a restricted zone (Demo), but the mechanics are a solid 10/10. I am counting the seconds until the full region opens up.
