ARRIVAL IN BORRIUS: DAY 1
My hands are still shaking. I’ve just synchronized my Pokedex with the Borrius regional database. The sheer density of data here is overwhelming—in the best possible way. I stepped off the boat and immediately checked the local species count. It spans Generation 1 through 8. Generations 1 through 8. Do you understand the magnitude of this? My completionist cortex is firing on all cylinders. I haven't slept in 36 hours.
The region itself feels distinct, almost like the Sinnoh sector regarding visual fidelity, but the interface technology is years ahead. The local Professor gave me a device with infinite storage capacity. No more tossing Potions to make room for Rare Candies. The logistical nightmare of inventory management has been solved by Borrian engineering.
THE HUNTING GROUNDS
I spent the first six hours in the tall grass on Route 2. Why? Because the local tech includes a DexNav. It visualizes hidden Pokémon, tracks their potential, and even signals Egg Moves. I refused to move forward until I caught a 3-star potential Ralts. Shiny hunting method: DexNav chaining works perfectly. I chained 45 encounters and secured a blue-pigmented variant before the first Gym. The dopamine hit was astronomical.
FIELD NOTE: Do not ignore the 'Mission Log'. It is not just a list; it is a lifestyle. 75+ unique objectives. I am currently obsessing over the 'Tomb of Borrius' mission. The rewards are substantial.
ANOMALIES AND QOL
The most impressive feature of this expedition is the complete eradication of 'HM Slaves'. The locals use a device called the ADM (Advanced Dive Machine) and other Key Items to traverse terrain. I didn't have to waste a move slot on Cut or Rock Smash. This allowed me to optimize my team for combat efficiency, which is necessary because the hostile entities here are smarter than usual. I set the threat level to 'Difficult', and the Gym Leaders actually switch out when at a disadvantage. It's beautiful.
I also confirmed a critical piece of intel regarding trade evolutions. You don't need a second operative to evolve your Machoke. Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. This single item makes a solo run viable for full completion.
THE ENDGAME EXPANSE
I defeated the Champion, thinking I could finally rest. I was wrong. The map opened up. New islands. Legendary portals. The 'Battle Frontier'. Post-game is massive. Battle Frontier included. There is an entire facility dedicated to breeding and stat optimization. I spent a week just in the KBT Expressway mining for fossils and elemental plates.
I have cross-referenced the encounter tables with the global database. Every single species is obtainable within the region's borders. Living Dex is possible without cheats. I have boxes arranged numerically, 001 through 809. The gaps are filling. The satisfaction is visceral.
FINAL LOG
This is not just a region; it is a monument to the concept of 'Catching Them All'. The pacing is tight, the threats are real, and the tools provided to the Explorer are state-of-the-art. I have logged countless expeditions, but Borrius sets a new standard for efficiency and volume.
100% completion took me 85 hours. And I enjoyed every agonizing, grinding minute of it. Ace out.
