LOG ENTRY: SECTOR KANTO (DIMENSIONAL FRACTURE)
I have charted nearly every region in the known multiverse, from the pristine mechanics of Unova to the broken code of Glitch City. But this... this is an affront to Arceus himself. I arrived in the region designated Pokemon Too Many Types, expecting a standard modification. Instead, I found the fundamental laws of physics—the Type Chart—shattered into incoherent fragments.
My standard issue Damage Calculator is useless here. I attempted to run a simulation for a matchup against a simple Pidgey, and the device overheated. Apparently, the avian is now part "Bird" type—a redundancy that offends my efficiency sensibilities—and potentially "Wind" or "Sound" type depending on the specific mutation.
THE ANOMALY: TYPE CHART SATURATION
The local reality supports dozens of undocumented elemental affinities. "Gamer" type? "Sand" type? It is chaotic. It is unrefined. It renders standard competitive memorization obsolete. For a Nuzlocke run, this is a nightmare scenario. You cannot pivot around a crit if you don't even know if the incoming attack is Super Effective.
NOTE: Do not rely on muscle memory. An Onix here might possess the properties of "Crystal" or "Plastic". Did you even check the Documentation files? I had to keep a spreadsheet open just to survive Route 1.
TACTICAL ASSESSMENT
Despite the absurdity, the hostile entities (Trainers) are surprisingly competent. The engine has been modified to support the Physical/Special split—The Physical/Special split is mandatory. No excuses.—which at least allows for proper moveset optimization, assuming you can figure out what STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) your Pokémon actually has.
I observed a Gym Leader utilize a "Magic" type move that bypassed my defensive stat boosts. The AI actually switches out on a resist. Impressive. However, the sheer volume of variables means that "skill" is often replaced by rote memorization of this specific, twisted lexicon. It is not difficult in the traditional sense; it is an exercise in data management.
THE VERDICT
This expedition is not for the purist. It is for the chaotic theorist. If you are the type of Trainer who enjoys calculating exact EV spreads to survive a Garchomp Earthquake, you will find only madness here. However, the engineering required to inject this many variables without crashing the universe (ROM) is commendable.
- Engine Stability: Surprisingly high given the load.
- Strategic Depth: Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle. Too many variables dilute the meta.
- Nuzlocke Viability: Low. Deaths will occur due to lack of information, not lack of skill.
I am enforcing Standard Hardcore Nuzlocke rules: No items in battle. But frankly, if you wipe here, it's likely because you didn't know that "Uranium" type is weak to "Sponge" type or whatever nonsense this region adheres to.
