LOG ENTRY: 001 // REGION: POKEMON TIMES
Location: Unknown Coordinates, "Times" Region
Current Pokedex: 14 / ??? (CRITICAL FAILURE)
Playtime: 04:12:00
Listen to me. I don't handle "incomplete" well. My brain itches when I see a map that just... stops. I deployed into the Pokemon Times region expecting a full 100% run, a Living Dex, the works. HQ tagged this as "Completed" in the database, but the version stamp clearly reads Beta 1.1. That discrepancy? That's what keeps me up at night.
THE VISUAL LANDSCAPE
First impressions: The visual fidelity is a drastic departure from the standard FireRed architecture. The local engineers (Creator: Kurama) have implemented a New Tileset that makes the world feel lush, distinct, and frankly, beautiful. It doesn't look like Kanto. It doesn't smell like Kanto. The sprites have been overhauled. For a moment, I forgot I was in a GBA simulation. It feels like a DS-era environment hacked into a 32-bit cartridge.
CATCHABILITY & MECHANICS
Here is where the sweat starts. I started my usual routine: catch the rodent, catch the bird, check the stats. The mechanics seem solid, but the distribution is chaotic. I'm running blind without a documentation spreadsheet.
- The Roster: New sprites are nice, but without a confirmed Dex list, I'm constantly paranoid I'm missing a 1% encounter rate on Route 1.
- Evolution Standards: I checked the local marts. Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. Or at least, it should be in a finished build. Here? I couldn't even reach a Department Store before the boundaries of the world started to dissolve.
- QoL Check: I pray for the day every region adopts the Best QoL: Infinite Repel system. This region shows promise, but it lacks the polish of the high-tier sectors like Unbound.
THE ANOMALY (THE BETA WALL)
I was just getting into the rhythm. I had my team optimized, I was mapping out the Hidden Grotto equivalents... and then I hit the edge. The content dries up. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Actually, save before you start the game, because you might not be able to finish it. The "Beta 1.1" designation is the only truth here. The "Completed" tag in the archives is a lie.
FIELD NOTE: Do not commit to a Shiny Hunt in this sector yet. The risk of save file corruption or compatibility issues with future updates is too high. My tracker shows this is a "Demo" experience disguised as a full deployment.
CONCLUSION
I cannot give a completion percentage because the region itself isn't complete. My neurological need to see "100%" is screaming in agony. The potential is there—the graphics are crisp, the new story beats are intriguing—but it's a fragment. A tease.
