MISSION LOG: KANTO SECTOR (YELLOW TIMELINE)
Pokedex Status: 151/151
Heart Rate: 140 BPM (Stabilizing)
Caffeine Intake: Critical
I have returned from the simulation designated Pokemon Thunder Yellow. Listen to me carefully: this is not a drill. This is a temporal anomaly. The landscape is FireRed, but the laws of physics are strictly 1998. My neurological need to collect was tested, but the dopamine hits were consistent.
THE STARTER TRIAD ANOMALY
In standard FireRed deployments, you choose one Starter and spend the next ten years regretting the empty slots in your database. Not here. I confirmed visual contact and capture of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle within a single save file. Living Dex is possible without cheats. I repeat: I have all three. I didn't have to bribe a friend with a Link Cable. This is the optimal Kanto configuration.
THE COMPANION MECHANIC
The Pikachu unit assigned to me refuses containment. It utilizes a "Following" script that mimics the HGSS engine tech. It tracks my movement perfectly. There is a happiness algorithm running in the background—if you ignore the rodent, it knows. I spent 20 minutes just turning around to talk to it to maximize the bond value. It’s inefficient, but necessary for the 100% profile.
VISUAL & AUDIO FORENSICS
The developer, Feather, has tampered with the visual cortex of the region. The Pokemon sprites have been re-modeled to resemble their original Yellow Version poses, but colorized. It’s a bizarre mix of retro-jank and modern crispness. I also salvaged a piece of tech called the GB Player. It converts the ambient audio to 8-bit waveforms. I played the entire mission with this active. It felt like my childhood was bleeding out of the speakers.
FIELD NOTE: The wild encounter tables have been scrambled. Do not rely on your FireRed wiki. I found entities in Route 1 that shouldn't exist there. Keep your Pokeballs stocked.
THE TEAM ROCKET INTERCEPTION
Hostiles identified: Jessie and James. They have been implemented into the event flags. They interrupt the flow, just like in the anime archives. It adds flavor, but they are essentially experience point piñatas.
FINAL LOG
I scoured every tile. I checked every trash can on the S.S. Anne. 100% completion took me 35 hours. It is a faithful recreation of the Yellow experience on a superior engine. It doesn't have the massive post-game of a ROM like Unbound, but for a completionist seeking a pure Kanto fill? It's efficient.
Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. The legendary birds are static encounters, and if you knock them out, they are gone. Do not be the rookie who saves after throwing the Master Ball.
