LOG ENTRY: THE FROZEN WASTELAND
I arrived in this region expecting a festive romp, a simple cataloging mission to calm the nerves. I was wrong. This isn't a holiday special; it's a survival horror simulation. My palms are sweating. My pulse is racing at 140 BPM. I just saw a Wooper, and I’m terrified.
THE ANOMALY: PERMADEATH PROTOCOL
Listen to me closely because this is critical intel: This region operates under a forced Nuzlocke field. If a subject faints, the data is wiped. Deleted. Gone. For a man who needs a 100% Living Dex to maintain homeostasis, this is psychological torture. I lost a specialized unit (a Rattata, top percentage) to a high-level territorial threat on the first route, and the universe didn't just faint it—it erased it from existence. I haven't slept in 48 hours.
NOTE: High-level hostile entities roam every sector. Do not engage unless you are certain of victory. Run. Just run.
RESOURCE SCARCITY AND QOL
The local economy is in shambles. There are very few trainers, meaning the credit supply is tighter than a Shellder's clamp. I found myself scavenging for hidden items just to afford basic capture technology. However, the region does feature portable healing stations. Incredible tech, but they are single-use and cost a fortune. It's a cruel trade-off.
THE BRANCHING TIMELINE
The region features a 'Naughty/Nice' morality system that dictates the conclusion of the mission. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Or rather, before making any dialogue choices. There are two distinct endings, and to log them both for the Archives, you need to be surgical with your decisions. One wrong click and you're locked out of 50% of the narrative data.
MISSION DEBRIEF
Despite the terror and the constant threat of data erasure, Living Dex is possible without cheats, provided you play with the caution of a bomb disposal unit. The expedition is short but brutal. 100% completion took me 6 hours, including the time I spent hyperventilating over my deleted Starter. It's a unique, high-stress environment suitable for those who think standard capture operations are "too easy."
