LOG ENTRY: SECTOR STRIKE YELLOW (BETA 0.4)
My hands are shaking. Do you know what a version number like "Beta 0.4" does to a man who tracks EV yields in a color-coded spreadsheet? It means the list is incomplete. It means there are empty slots in the database that cannot be filled. I arrived in the Pokemon Strike Yellow region expecting a standard Kanto remix, but I found a reality under construction. My completionist anxiety is through the roof.
THE TERRAIN: ANOMALIES DETECTED
The visual landscape of this region has been altered significantly. The Architect, Drake Seawood, has implemented a new graphics engine for the Routes that differs from the standard Yellow spectrum. It's vibrant, but unstable. I detected new audio frequencies—custom music tracks that replace the familiar chiptunes. It's disorienting but fresh.
NOTE: The briefing mentioned "Zero hours of fun". I believe this was a mistranslation of "Zero hours of closure". Proceed with caution.
THE HUNT: MECHANICS AND QOL
I found evidence of advanced local technology. The region boasts "No forbidden HMs". This is a massive efficiency boost. I didn't have to waste a move slot on Cut, which usually ruins a Scyther's moveset efficiency. However, the ecosystem is erratic. There are rumors of "Hidden Cities" and "New Legends", but in a Beta environment, these are often mirages.
- New Storyline: The narrative diverges from the timeline, but dead-ends abruptly.
- Hidden Cities: I located settlements not on the standard map. Exploration yield is high, but risky.
- Threat Level: Unpredictable due to stability issues.
THE VERDICT: A COMPLETIONIST'S NIGHTMARE
I tried to push for the 100%. I really did. But the world boundaries are solid. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. I encountered several glitch artifacts that threatened to corrupt my save file. I usually pride myself on the fact that 100% completion took me 85 hours in the standard sector, but here? I hit the invisible wall way too early.
My scanner indicates that a Living Dex is possible without cheats in the final version, but currently, Species #152 through #251 are largely theoretical. I can't work like this. I need the full dataset.
