MISSION LOG: REGION 404 - "SNAKEWOOD"
Status: TRAUMATIZED
Pokedex Completion: [ERROR]
Playtime: 85:14:22
I need a potion. Not for my team, for me. I’ve just extracted myself from the Snakewood simulation, and my completionist nervous system is in shock. This isn't a region; it's a crime scene against the National Dex. I went in expecting a standard Ruby modification. I left questioning the definition of a Pokémon.
THE ANOMALY: ZOMBIE DATA
Listen to me. I track data. I fill slots. When I see a Zigzagoon, I catch it. In this region, the Zigzagoon is rotting. The local designation is "Zombie". They occupy Pokedex slots, but the taxonomy is a disaster. There are things here called "Denjuu"—telecommunications monsters from a completely different dimension (Keitai Denjuu Telefang). My spreadsheet is bleeding. How am I supposed to categorize a decapitated Charmander?
100% completion took me 85 hours. Not because the content is vast, but because the region is actively hostile to logic. I spent three hours trying to catch a shiny "Faceleech" only to realize it might not even evolve. The lack of documentation is maddening. I was sweating looking at the completion percentage: 98.2%. Where is the other 1.8%? Is it in the code? Is it in my mind?
NAVIGATIONAL HAZARDS
This is not an exploration; it's a minefield. The region layout has been obliterated. Gyms aren't Gyms—they are ruins. Badges are found on corpses or looted from delusional bosses. And the puzzles... Arceus help me, the puzzles.
FIELD NOTE: Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Or the building. Or the patch of grass. This region loves "Soft-lock Traps"—scenarios where you can walk into a room and never leave. I lost 4 hours of progress in the "Island of Calm" because I didn't bring a specific HM slave. That is a 0/10 catchability rating right there.
QUALITY OF LIFE? NON-EXISTENT.
I dream of a world where the Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. This is not that world. This is a world where you have to fight the literal developer to progress. There is no Physical/Special split. There is no Infinite Repel. There is only the endless groan of zombies and the grinding of my teeth. The "QoL" here stands for "Questionable or Lacking".
THE VERDICT
If you are a casual tourist who likes "edgy" narratives and breaking the fourth wall, you might find this amusing. But for a DexHunter? It's torture. There are fake Legendaries, broken sprites, and a plot that wanders more than a Spinda with vertigo. I caught them all, but at what cost? My sanity?
I'm scrubbing my Pokedex. I need to go play Unbound just to feel clean again.
