MISSION LOG: ENTRY #001 - LANDFALL
Timestamp: 0600 Hours
Location: Unknown Coordinates, Region 'Silver Legend'
Status: Hyper-fixated
I’ve touched down in a sector that Headquarters identified as a customized Ruby-class environment. The atmosphere here is thick with nostalgia, but the readings are... erratic. First observation: The local dialect is entirely Spanish. My translator module is working overtime, but for any Explorer not fluent in the local tongue, navigation might be tricky. I'm here for one reason: The Slots. I need to know if the National Dex is fillable or if I'm going to have an aneurysm looking for a starter that doesn't exist.
THE ECOSYSTEM: A RUBY REMIX
The terrain is familiar yet alien. The Architect, known as 'Christos', has overhauled the visual spectrum. We aren't looking at standard Hoenn foliage here. The tilesets have been terraformed—brighter greens, distinct town layouts. It’s vibrant, almost oversaturated.
However, I must report a massive anomaly regarding the fauna. The biodiversity is chaotic. We have specimens from the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh sectors co-existing. Seeing a Gen 4 evolution in a Gen 3 engine usually makes my DexNav twitch, but the implementation here is decent. The sprites are updated, and we even have new mugshots for the local NPCs. It adds a layer of immersion that the vanilla simulations lack.
THE HUNT: CATCHABILITY INDEX
Here is where the sweat starts. As a completionist, I need certainty. This region is labeled 'Beta 2', yet intelligence reports suggest the narrative path is 'Completed'. This contradiction is terrifying. Does the game end? Does the Pokedex end?
- The Good: Diversity is high. You aren't stuck catching Zigzagoons for five hours.
- The Bad: Documentation is scarce. I found myself wandering aimlessly trying to trigger event flags.
- The Ugly: No physical/special split observed in the early sectors. We are operating on old-school physics.
FIELD NOTE: Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave to the north of the second town. The script triggers are sensitive, and if you walk the wrong line, you might lock yourself out of a legendary encounter. I almost threw my device.
ANOMALIES AND GLITCHES
The 'Beta' tag is not for show. I encountered several texture tears and collision errors—what we in the business call 'Invisible Walls of Doom'. The polish isn't quite at the LVL 100 standard. It feels like a rough expedition into uncharted territory rather than a guided tour. If you are looking for a smooth ride like Unbound, turn back. This is for the rugged survivalist.
I spent hours grinding, convinced that Living Dex is possible without cheats, but the spawn rates in some areas are abysmal. I'm talking 1% encounter rates for key species. It's a grind, but the dopamine hit when that ball clicks shut? Unmatched.
FINAL LOG
I clocked out early. 100% completion took me 25 hours—not because the game is short, but because the 'Beta' nature meant the post-game content (my lifeblood) was lacking the depth of a finished facility. There is no Battle Frontier here to sink 500 hours into. It's a linear trek.
Is it worth the expedition? Only if you speak the language and have a hunger for obscure, older-generation ROM hacks. For me? Slot #493 is still empty. I can't stay here. Moving to the next region.
