LOG ENTRY: DAY 1 - THE DIGITAL ANOMALY
My hands are still shaking. I booted up the simulation expecting the standard Cyndaquil-Totodile-Chikorita triad. Instead? Porygon. A man-made Pokémon as the starter entity? This changes the entire ecological baseline. It feels sterile, synthetic. But the completionist in me is screaming. If Porygon is handed out at Minute 0, that clears slot #137 immediately. Efficiency is key.
The region looks like Johto, smells like Johto, but the hostility levels are off the charts. The local Trainers aren't messing around with Metapod hardening strategies; they are coming for the throat. Steeper difficulty curve confirmed. I had to grind on Route 29 until my eyes bled just to stabilize the team.
THE HUNT: KANTO & JOHTO INTEGRATION
I’ve scanned the tall grass data. We are looking at a hybridization of the Kanto and Johto biomes. The intel promised full availability, and so far, the encounter tables are dense. I haven't slept in 36 hours because I'm paranoid I missed a morning-only spawn.
NOTE: Keep your eyes on the new random NPCs. Some of them aren't just chatterboxes; they are trade vectors. Talk to everyone. Twice.
Living Dex is possible without cheats. I've cross-referenced the encounter slots. It looks like the architect, Halfshadow, understood the assignment. If I can't catch a Golem in the wild or evolve it via a localized Link Stone equivalent, I usually riot. Here? It feels attainable. The dopamine hit when I realized I didn't need a second device to complete the Pokedex was substantial.
TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS (QoL)
The local tech is surprisingly advanced for a GBC-era simulation. We have a functioning Physical/Special/Status Split. In a Game Boy Color environment? That is black magic. It makes mons like Sneasel actually viable instead of just Pokédex filler. And the TMs... they don't break. Reusable TMs are standard issue here. I taught Earthquake to three different team members just because I could. Huge W.
THE ENDGAME PROTOCOL
Do not think you are done when the credits roll. The intel regarding an After Game Storyline is accurate. There is a massive uncharted territory post-League. I can't give specifics without spoiling the discovery, but let's just say the map expands significantly.
However, be warned. The architecture is old (2019). There are structural instabilities. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. I encountered a few visual glitches that nearly gave me a heart attack thinking my save file was corrupted. Backup your data frequently.
100% completion took me 85 hours. And I don't regret a single second of the grind.
