LOG ENTRY: ARRIVAL IN GINOA SECTOR
Timestamp: 04:00 Hours (Insomnia Protocol Active)
Location: West Ginoa, Professor Beckett’s Lab
Current Pokedex Count: 1/???
I haven't blinked in forty minutes. The Ginoa region is a chaotic biological melting pot. We are talking about a biodiversity index that spans Generations 1 through 7, plus—and I need you to sit down for this—indigenous species unique to this sector known as "Ginoa Forms." My completionist senses are tingling. It’s a mix of terror and ecstasy. The Pokedex UI is practically screaming at me.
THE CENSUS: QUANTITY OVER SANITY
The sheer volume of catchable entities here is staggering. Official intel claims we have access to the Alola roster, including Ultra Beasts, alongside the classics. But here is the kicker: The Mana Type. A completely new elemental classification. I had to rewrite my entire type-matchup spreadsheet on the fly. It interacts with the standard table in ways that defy Kanto logic.
FIELD NOTE: Keep your eyes peeled for the "Solar" and "Lunar" variants. They aren't just cosmetic. They have distinct stat blocks. If you miss one, your Living Dex is ruined.
I spent three hours in the tall grass on Route 1 just to verify the encounter slots. The density is high. Living Dex is possible without cheats. However, the grind is real. You will need a stockpile of Balls that would bankrupt a Silph Co. executive.
LOCAL TECHNOLOGY & THREATS
The hostile entities here—specifically the Solar and Lunar Teams—are aggressive. They aren't using standard Rattatas. They are packing heat with newer generation moves and abilities like Soul-Heart and Innards Out. Watching a Pyukumuku take down my sweeper with after-damage was a humbling experience.
Local tech includes a localized version of Mega Evolution and a prototype "Z-Move" system. It’s a bit unstable—visual glitches occur like ripples in the reality matrix when executing these high-power moves—but the damage output is legitimate. It adds a layer of volatility to nuzlocking this region.
CRITICAL INTEL: MISSABLES & BUGS
This is Version 1.0B, and it shows. The fabric of reality (collision data) is thin in some caves. I walked through a wall in the Solar Base and nearly ended up in the void.
WARNING: Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave related to the Mnemon storyline. If you knock out the static encounter, it does not respawn after the Elite Four. I repeat: IT DOES NOT RESPAWN. I had to reload a save from 4 hours prior. I almost ate my GameBoy.
SUMMARY
The post-game potential is massive given the roster size, but the technical stability is the bottleneck. The story tries to be an epic sequel to a disaster 5 years ago, but I’m here for the slots in the Dex. 100% completion took me 85 hours. It’s a messy, ambitious, overflowing buffet of monsters.
