LOG ENTRY: THE GALAR FRAGMENT
Location: Motostoke Outskirts (Grid Reference: DEMO-0.1.9)
Current Pokedex Status: 14.2% (STUCK)
Mental State: Unstable. The road ends.
I don't handle "To Be Continued" screens well. I need closure. I need that certificate. But here I am, in a localized simulation of the Galar region designated Pokemon Royal, and I've hit an invisible wall after the third badge. My completionist itch is burning, and I can't scratch it.
THE BIODIVERSITY ANOMALY
The ecological density here is absurd. My scanners are picking up signatures from Generation 1 through 9. I saw a Paldean Wooper grazing next to a Galarian Zigzagoon. For a collector, this is paradise and purgatory combined. Because the region is currently locked down (Status: Demo), I can only observe a fraction of the population.
However, the initial data is promising. The encounters are varied. Living Dex is possible without cheats. Or at least, it will be. If the architects of this reality (SkyFlyer) keep this density up for the full release, this will be a LVL 100 hunting ground.
VISUALS AND NAVIGATION
The world has been flattened. The 3D geometry of the original Galar has been compressed into high-fidelity pixel art. It’s cleaner. Faster. I can count the tiles. I can optimize my hatching steps. The "redesigned routes" are more than just aesthetic; they are complex hunting grounds with nooks and crannies hiding items.
FIELD NOTE: Following Pokemon are active. Having my Shiny starter trail behind me provides a necessary dopamine drip while I wait for the map to expand.
THREAT LEVEL: DYNAMAX
The Dynamax phenomenon has been successfully replicated in this 2D space. It's not just a gimmick; the threat level spikes significantly during these encounters. I engaged "Challenge Mode" immediately—I don't get out of bed for anything less—and the Gym Leaders are using actual tactics. They don't just spam Leer. They want to hurt you.
Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Or in this case, the Gyms. The raid battles can go south very quickly if you aren't prepped with proper type coverage. I wiped twice on the second badge. Unacceptable performance on my part.
THE QOL REPORT
I am scavenging for every scrap of Quality of Life data I can find. The interface is slick. The PC box management is swift. I'm praying to the RNG gods that later updates confirm the Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. if true, but for now, I am limited to what I can catch in the wild.
MISSION STATUS: INCOMPLETE
I have mapped every tile available. I have caught every species currently spawning. 100% completion took me 12 hours—but that's 100% of the Demo. It's not enough. I need the rest of the map. I need the other 700+ slots filled.
This is a high-potential extraction zone. The foundation is solid, the roster is massive, and the pixel art overhaul of Galar fixes the linearity of the original simulation. But until the barriers drop, I am just a hunter pacing in a cage.
