MISSION LOG: ENTRY 001 - LANDFALL IN DORUA
I touched down in the Dorua region with my standard kit: 999 Ultra Balls, a humidity-resistant spreadsheet, and a mild tremor in my left hand that only stops when I hear the capture click. The visual landscape here is a stark upgrade from the Kanto sector. The architects have revamped the graphics; the colors pop, the sprites are crisp. It feels like home, but cleaner. Better.
THE HUNT: A STATISTICAL ANOMALY
I started my sweep. The biodiversity is impressive—specimens from Gen 1 through 7 are roaming the tall grass. I spotted Alolan forms adapting to the local climate. The inclusion of Dark and Fairy types changes the threat assessment matrix completely. Combat screens have been overhauled, making threat analysis faster.
However, I encountered a critical psychological barrier. My intel indicated: "You Can Complete National/Regional Pokedex Except Legendaries."
I read it twice. I cleaned my glasses. I read it a third time. Panic set in. How can I operate in a region where the gods are absent? I spent days scouring the data. A Living Dex is possible without cheats regarding standard biological entities, but the empty slots #144, #145, #150... they stare at me. They mock me. For a completionist, this is an itch you cannot scratch.
LOCAL INFRASTRUCTURE & QOL
The local economy allows for purchasing real estate. I bought a house. I customized it. It’s a nice distraction from the gaping hole in my Pokedex. The Honey Trees here utilize a localized technology—they don't function like the Sinnoh variants (thank the Helix Fossil), which saves significant time.
NOTE: The local dialect is French. If your translator module isn't updated, you will struggle to navigate the menus. This is a foreign excursion in the truest sense.
THE ENDGAME: MUNIJI TOWER
The post-game expedition led me to Muniji Tower. This island is a labyrinth of mystery and high-level threats. The "Revenge of the Arena Champions" protocol is active here—the Gym Leaders do not play nice the second time around. Their stats are padded, and their strategies are lethal.
Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave near the tower's base. The scripting there is volatile, and I nearly lost 4 hours of EV training data.
MISSION SUMMARY
100% completion took me 85 hours—or at least, as close to 100% as this reality allows. The inability to capture the Legendaries is a neurological nightmare for agents of my caliber. The region is beautiful, the housing market is booming, but the Pokedex will never truly be full.
