LOG ENTRY: 0400 HOURS - THE RED HORIZON
Comms from the Reddit sector were jammed (read: [object Object] error), so I dropped into the Pokemon Red Everywhere region blind. No guide. No encounter tables. Just me, my spreadsheet, and a crippling need to fill empty boxes.
First impressions? The visual fidelity is higher than standard FireRed sectors. We're talking nice tiles and sprites—the grass looks greener, the water wetter. The audio landscape has been terraformed with new music tracks. It doesn't sound like the chiptune loops that haunt my nightmares; it's fresh.
THE CATCHABILITY REPORT
I spent the first 20 hours just testing grass patches. The biodiversity here is... custom. The briefing mentioned "Custom Gameplay," which usually translates to "unfair level spikes," but here it feels like a remixed puzzle. I can confirm the spawn rates are consistent.
FIELD NOTE: Keep your eyes peeled for narrative anomalies. The "Custom Plot" isn't just filler; it changes where you can go. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. I almost locked myself out of a legendary encounter because I walked in without prepping my paralysis squad.
QUALITY OF LIFE & THE GRIND
Is it grindy? Yes. Do I love it? Unfortunately, yes. The game mechanics have been tweaked. I didn't find a flashy DexNav, but the encounter variety makes up for it. I mapped out the entire region.
Living Dex is possible without cheats. This is the holy grail. I didn't have to trade with myself using a second emulator instance. Every slot from #001 to the end of the regional dex is obtainable within the game borders. Huge W for the solo explorer.
FINAL ANALYSIS
The region has been stable since late 2019, so I didn't encounter any game-breaking glitch cities. It's a complete experience. It's not the hardest region I've survived, but the completion satisfaction is there.
100% completion took me 85 hours. My eyes are dry, my thumbs are calloused, and my Pokedex is full. Time to sleep for 20 minutes before the next drop.
