LOG ENTRY: NEZGARD SECTOR
Timestamp: 0400 Hours
Location: Frozen Wilderness, Nezgard
Current Pokedex Count: 198/200 (Panic setting in)
I touched down in the Nezgard region expecting a buffet. I brought my Master Balls, my spreadsheets, and enough caffeine to kill a Snorlax. What I found was... a diet. A strict, calorie-restricted diet. The local biodiversity is capped at 200 species. My eye started twitching immediately. Where are the other 700+? Are they extinct? Did the cold kill them?
However, once I stopped hyperventilating into a paper bag, I realized the curation is deliberate. This isn't a sprawling collect-a-thon; it's a tactical operation.
THE CENSUS (POKEDEX ANALYSIS)
Here is the situation: The local fauna is a mix from all generations, but strictly limited. No Fakemons—thank Arceus—but the scarcity triggers my hoarding instincts. I need more slots! On the bright side, the specimens present are high-value targets. We have confirmed sightings of Mega Evolutions and Primal Reverses in the wild. I saw a Mega that wasn't in the official Kanto registry. An undocumented regional variant? Possibly.
NOTE: Living Dex is possible without cheats. But with only 200 slots, it feels like filling a bento box rather than a warehouse.
MISSION STRUCTURE & TOPOGRAPHY
Nezgard is hostile. The temperature is low, and the Day/Night cycle uses advanced illumination tiles that make night operations genuinely treacherous. The local governance (Creator: Ruki) has abolished the standard 8-Gym Badge collection marathon. Instead, we are looking at a 14-Chapter mission structure. It feels less like a sport and more like a military campaign.
Warning: Identity protocols are strict. You cannot forge your passport here. You are assigned a preset name and identity. For a role-player, this is a cage. For a completionist, it's acceptable as long as it doesn't interfere with my catch rates.
ANOMALIES & QOL REPORT
The region runs on a modified FireRed engine but utilizes 4th Gen physical/special split technology. Combat is fair but threatens to be unpredictable due to the Fairy-type integration. I did locate a standard supply chain for trade evolutions.
Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. I don't have time to find a trading partner when I'm freezing to death in a cave.
However, the mission-based structure creates anxiety. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Because the story moves in chapters, I am terrified of leaving a legendary behind in a zone I can't return to. My advice? Scour every pixel before advancing the plot.
FINAL LOG
This is a strange expedition. It's short, narrative-heavy, and visually distinct with its chilly aesthetic. 100% completion took me 25 hours. A sprint, not a marathon. If you need that dopamine hit of filling a 900-slot Dex, look elsewhere. If you want a tight, story-driven op with Mega power, deploy to Nezgard.
