Some challenge

Not at all, you have to think about it again if you are going to play this game. In fact, it can be rated as a 16+ Pokemon hack (maybe the first and the only one ever). You will understand why, soon. Instead of having a basic starter like Bulbasaur – Squirtle – Charmander like any other Pokemon hack… you will get a Drowzee (a Pokemon which is specialized in hypnotizing anyone it meets). As you progress further in-game, you will level up your Drowzee and use its special Psychic power to control the girls you meet. There are many choices for you to do after controlling them, usually, they are more than 18 choices. Hmm, not only doing that but you also have to get the badges and the Champion title as usual.

LOG ENTRY: SECTOR PSYCHIC ADVENTURES

Timestamp: 0300 Hours.
Location: Modified Kanto Region.
Current Status: Sleep Deprived. Pokedex at 0.1%.

I landed in this region expecting a standard expedition. I had my spreadsheets ready. I had my repels stocked. Then they handed me a Drowzee. Just a Drowzee. No choice of Fire, Water, or Grass. Immediate red flag for my starter reset routine. I checked the local wildlife database. It's... wrong. The ecosystem here has been completely overwritten by a singular, obsession-driven mechanic that has nothing to do with EV training.

THE "CATCH" MECHANIC

Headquarters intel suggested this was a "16+ zone." I assumed that meant higher level curves or permadeath. I was wrong. The local technology—specifically the Drowzee's hypnosis abilities—is used to "control" human NPCs. From a collector's standpoint, this is a nightmare. I'm trying to fill Slot #016 (Pidgey), and the game is forcing me into dialogue trees with local inhabitants.

I treat these interactions like Legendary encounters. You have to whittle them down, apply status effects (Hypnosis), and hope the RNG doesn't blow up in your face. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Or the gym. Or a house. The scripting here is fragile. If you select the wrong option during these "negotiations," you lock yourself out of content. I missed a key interaction because I was mashing the A button trying to get back to the tall grass. A 0/10 experience for speedrunners.

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS

The visual landscape has been altered. New sprites are present, but they feel alien compared to the crisp lines of the FireRed base. The map flow is linear and restrictive. I tried to backtrack to Route 1 to check for shiny spawns, and an invisible wall of "plot" stopped me. I started sweating. If I can't backtrack, how can I ensure catch consistency?

NOTE: The "18 choices" mentioned in the intel are not tactical options. They are... narrative branches. Highly inefficient.

THE VERDICT: CATCHABILITY ZERO

I spent hours looking for a Link Stone. I looked for a DexNav. I looked for anything that resembled standard completionist tools. They aren't here. This isn't a region for the Living Dex is possible without cheats crowd. This is a region for tourists who care more about "plot" than filling the grid. I tried to grind levels, but the game pushes you toward these specific interaction points. I felt my completion percentage stagnating.

100% completion took me 85 hours. Not because the content is vast, but because I refused to believe there wasn't a hidden legendary behind the truck. I checked every tile. The result? Disappointment. The post-game is nonexistent compared to the Battle Frontier standards I hold dear.

SUMMARY

If you are looking to catch 'em all, turn back. This expedition is a wash. The local customs interfere too heavily with the hunt. I'm packing up and heading to Unbound. I need a palette cleanser.
