LOG ENTRY: REGION PROYECT RED
Timestamp: 03:42 AM
Location: Pallet Town (Or what passes for it)
Pokedex Status: 3/??? (Panic levels rising)
I have infiltrated the region designated "Proyect Red". My hands are shaking. Not from fear, but from the sheer lack of documentation. Where is the spawn list? Where is the item location spreadsheet? I am flying blind here, people! I need to know if slot #151 is under a truck or in a grass patch on Route 1. I don't sleep until I verify the integrity of the National Dex.
THE STARTER ANOMALY
Immediate red flag right out of the gate. The local Professor offered me... second-stage evolutions? I'm staring at a Charmeleon when I need a Charmander for slot #004. This is a logistical nightmare for my Living Dex organization. Unless there is a Ditto available on Route 2, I am going to have a gap in my boxes that will haunt me for eternity.
NOTE: Check every trash can for breeding items. If I can't breed these starters down, this run is a 0/10.
MECHANICAL UPGRADES & QOL
Okay, breathing exercises. In, out. There are some positives that are keeping my heart rate below 180. The visual fidelity has been upgraded—sprites are crisp, modern, no longer looking like compressed potatoes from 2004. The experience gain system has been updated to the Black/White protocol, meaning catching Pokémon yields EXP. This is optimal for grinding up the 400+ mons I plan to capture.
But the real dopamine hit? Best QoL: Infinite Repel system. Or at least, the B2/W2 prompt system is active. I don't have to open the bag every 100 steps. It saves me exactly 3.4 seconds per Repel, which adds up to approximately 4 hours of life saved over a full completionist run.
THE UNKNOWN VARIABLES
The intelligence reports a "Major Twist" at the Pokémon League. I am skeptical. Usually, "twist" means a level jump that requires 10 hours of grinding or a crash that corrupts my save file. I approached the League with extreme caution.
My biggest issue is the version number: "Completed Fixed 0.5". What does 0.5 mean if it's completed? Are there holes in the map? Is the code held together by duct tape and prayers? I found several anomalies where the polish just wasn't there. It feels like a beta masquerading as a final release.
THE VERDICT
I spent 25 hours scouring the grass. I cannot confirm if a Living Dex is possible without cheats. The distribution seems erratic, and without a Link Stone or a trade patch confirmed, I am sweating bullets looking at my Alakazam slot. The game functions, the battles work, but for a true Collector, the uncertainty is agonizing.
- Catchability: Low. No documentation means guessing spawn rates.
- Stability: Questionable (Version 0.5).
- Post-Game: The League twist is interesting, but not enough to sustain a 100-hour hunt.
Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Actually, save before you do anything. This region is unstable.
