LOG ENTRY: REGION "PERFECT PINK"
Explorer Identity: DexHunter Ace
Current Pokedex Status: ERROR // DATA CORRUPTION // BETA WAVE DETECTED
Location: Unmapped Sector (Version 0.1.3.1.1)
THE NUMBER IS 721
I woke up in a cold sweat. The intel promised 721 Pokemon. Do you understand what that number does to a brain like mine? It triggers the dopamine receptors associated with the National Dex. I packed my bags, ready for the long haul. Living Dex is possible without cheats. That was the rumor. That was the dream.
But the reality of this region is... unstable. It's a Beta. A version 0.1.3.1.1 Beta. My completionist soul is screaming. You cannot promise me 721 captures and then drop me in a world that feels like it's still rendering. It's like showing a starving man a banquet behind bulletproof glass.
ANOMALY: THE MISSING AUTHORITY
There is no Professor here. No Oak to judge my progress. No Elm to call me about eggs. The local governance structure is non-existent. Without a Professor to hand me the Pokedex, I felt spiritually naked. Who is validating my capture data? If a Pokemon is caught in the forest and no Professor is there to rate it, does it even count towards the 100%?
This "No Professor" feature creates a chaotic start. It throws off the pacing. I need structure. I need a checklist. The region feels lawless.
THE TWELVE TASKS
The local inhabitants—strangers, really—offer access to 12 rare biological entities (Legendaries/Mythicals) through "simple tasks." This is the meat of the current expedition. Instead of exploring deep dungeons, I'm running errands.
Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Or in this case, save before talking to anyone. Since the quest logic in this Beta sector is undocumented, failing a "simple task" could lock you out of a capture. That is a 0/10 scenario for me.
I appreciate the attempt to integrate Mythicals into the overworld lore rather than just leaving them in a grassy patch, but the execution feels raw.
THE VERDICT: INCOMPLETE DATA
I tried to grind. I tried to hunt. But the "Beta" atmosphere is too thick. I spent hours looking for the Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W.—except I couldn't confirm if the Department Store was even fully stocked or if the item code was implemented correctly in this build.
The visuals (New Introscreen) are a nice coat of paint, but the foundation is shaky. 721 Pokemon is a massive claim for a ROM that is barely out of the womb. I cannot in good conscience recommend a full completionist run yet. You will hit a wall, and that wall will be a "To Be Continued" text box, and it will break your heart.
SUMMARY
This is not a region for the serious collector. Not yet. It is a construction site. Keep it on your radar if you like the number 721, but do not deploy your Master Balls.
