THE MEDLEY MASHUP
Yo fam, strap in. I just speedran the Medley Region at 800% speed while vibrating through walls, and let me tell you, the vibes are immaculate chaos. The simulation calls this place an "Alternate Universe," which is code for "We threw everything into a blender and hit puree." You got people from Kanto, Hoenn, and probably the Distortion World just chilling together. It feels like a fever dream I had after playing Pokemon Snakewood for 48 hours straight. The visual landscape is familiar FireRed assets, but the energy? This game is absolutely unhinged 💀.
CRIMINAL ERA: JOIN THE DARK SIDE
Here’s the tea: You don't have to be the boring goody-two-shoes protagonist. You can straight up join Team Rocket, Team Magma, or Team Aqua. Finally! I’ve always wanted to help Archie expand the sea because I hate dry land (it's coarse and rough). The dialogue when you join these goons is pure brainrot (complimentary). You walk up, they ask if you wanna commit crimes, and you say yes. No hesitation. It’s the kind of narrative freedom that breaks the fourth wall and then suplexes it.
NOTE: If you join Team Magma, prepare for intense monologues about dirt. If you join Aqua, bring a towel.
MECHANICAL ANOMALIES
The combat simulation has been updated with Gen 6 tech, meaning we got Fairy types blasting Dragons into the shadow realm. But the real kicker? Wild double battles. You step into the tall grass and immediately get jumped by two Rattatas like you owe them money. It spikes the Threat Level significantly because you can't just mash A to win early on. Also, they added Mega Evolution, which in a Beta 1.1 ROM usually means "Save State often or perish."
THE GLITCH CITY VERDICT
Is it polished? Nah. Is it stable? My emulator crashed twice. Loved it. It’s that sweet spot of ambitious jank that I live for. It’s not trying to be Unbound; it’s trying to let you be a villain in a world that feels like a fanfiction written at 3 AM. If you’re tired of being the hero and just want to cause problems on purpose, this is your jam. Don't play this seriously. Just don't. Embrace the chaos.
