LOG ENTRY: THE OLYMPUS SECTOR
Touchdown. My Pokedex (Model: National-Dex-9000) immediately started screaming. The biodiversity readings in this region are off the charts. We're talking entities from Kanto through Paldea, plus uncatalogued "Fakédex" signatures. But here’s the kicker: The region is currently under lockdown. Only two badges are obtainable. My completionist anxiety is already spiking. I can see the empty slots, but I can't reach the habitats.
THE HUNT: CELESTIAL FORMS
The locals worship "Celestial Forms"—regional variants infused with mythological energy. I encountered a Celestial variant early on. It’s not just a palette swap; the typing and move pools are fundamentally altered. For a collector, this is both heaven and hell. It expands the Living Dex requirements significantly.
I tested the local tracking tech. They call it the "Pokémon Radar." It functions similarly to the Hoenn-sector DexNav. Shiny hunting method: DexNav chaining works perfectly. I spent three hours in Route 1 just to secure a shiny variant of the local bird. The dopamine hit was sufficient to keep me going, despite the limited map size.
ANOMALIES & QOL
The region operates on a different engine than the standard GBA architecture (RPGXP detected). It feels smoother, modernized. The "Following Pokémon" protocol is active by default—my starter hasn't left my side, which is excellent for bonding/happiness evolutions. However, the "New Order System" adds a layer of complexity to battles that I’m still decoding. It’s not just turn-based; there’s a rhythm to it.
WARNING: The "Divine Nectar" item is a consumable lure for high-level entities. Do not waste these. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave or using the Nectar, or you might fail the capture sequence and lock yourself out of a rare entry.
THE WALL
Here is the tragedy. I am a LVL 100 Explorer. I need the 100% stamp. But the expedition was cut short by the edge of the known world. 100% completion took me 85 hours in the Unbound sector, but here, I hit the content ceiling in about 6 hours. The "Auto-save" feature (triggers every 300 steps) is a lifesaver for data integrity, but a nightmare for soft-resetting if you aren't careful. Manage your manual saves wisely.
