MISSION LOG: ENTRY 001 - THE DENTA DISARRAY
Location: West Academy, Denta Region
Time: 0800 Hours (Graduation Day Protocol)
I have touched down in the Denta Region, and my Pokedex is already screaming at me. The local atmosphere is... chaotic. My initial scan of the region's biodiversity suggests a standard Kanto-Johto overlap, but the neurological itch isn't being scratched properly. I need 100%. I need to see the numbers go up. But this place? It feels like a fever dream constructed from the memories of a 2008 forum post.
THE CATCHABILITY INDEX
Current Pokedex Status: Unstable.
I judge regions by their biodiversity. The Official Intel promised me a journey to gather data for Professor Oak—a standard mission parameter—but the execution is erratic. I'm encountering species that shouldn't be here, and the move pools are technologically regressive. My scanner picked up traces of Sinnoh-tech, but it's barely functional. Local scientists claim they have implemented "Three or four D/P moves." Three. Or. Four. Do you know what that does to a strategist? It causes panic attacks.
NOTE: I attempted to organize my PC boxes by National Dex number. The storage system groaned. Living Dex is possible without cheats, hypothetically, but the encounter tables are so erratic I found myself hyperventilating in the tall grass.
ANOMALIES & WORLD GEOGRAPHY
The geography of Denta is a patchwork of "Glitch Cities" and standard FireRed assets. The locals at West Academy kept rambling about a "test" before I could graduate. I spent three hours grinding on Route 1 just to ensure my starter was over-leveled, because I don't trust these custom regions not to throw a Level 50 Dragonite at me as a "prank."
The visual landscape is... functional. The architects clearly prioritized "Trees" and "Maps"—literally listed as key features in the brochure—over structural coherence. I walked into a wall that looked like a door. That's a 0/10 on the Navigation Scale.
THE AQUA THREAT & CELEBI
Hostile entities identified: Team Aqua. In a land based on FireRed architecture? This is a severe dimensional breach. They are screaming about Celebi. My ears perked up. Celebi means Mythical. Mythical means Slot #251. If that onion fairy is catchable, I will forgive the terrible tree placement.
WARNING: Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. The scripting around the Team Aqua encounters feels fragile. One wrong step and I fear the event flags will shatter, locking me out of the Celebi encounter forever. I have backed up my save file three times.
THE GRIND
I pushed through the gym circuit. The difficulty curve is a flat line with random spikes of absurdity. It's not the tactical depth of the Battle Frontier; it's the chaos of a rom-hacker experimenting with tools for the first time. 100% completion took me 25 hours, but 10 of those were spent trying to figure out where the plot wanted me to go next because the quest log is non-existent.
FINAL FIELD NOTES
There is a charm to the madness, a raw, unfiltered energy of early exploration. But for a completionist? It's a nightmare. There is no Link Stone. There is no DexNav. There is only the "Lawl" of the creator echoing in the void.
- Pokedex: Functional but messy.
- Shiny Rate: Standard 1/8192 (Painful).
- QoL: Non-existent. I manually walked everywhere. My boots are ruined.
