LOG ENTRY: LANDFALL IN CALIGO
Day 1. 0800 Hours. I’ve breached the borders of the Caligo Region. My pulse is already elevated. Why? Because the intel suggests this region is split into three parallel dimensions: Liquid, Blooming, and Burning. Do you know what that does to a man who needs a 100% completion rate? It makes him hyperventilate. Does this mean I need three save files? Three separate runs to compile the full database?
My Pokedex is currently sitting at 0%. It’s staring at me. Mocking me. I need to fill it.
THE FAUNA: ANOMALIES DETECTED
The local wildlife is... unfamiliar. We aren't just dealing with Kanto run-offs here. There are genetically distinct entities—what the locals call "Fakemon" but I call "Unregistered Data Points." The starters are entirely new species. I chose the Fire-type variant because efficiency models suggest burn damage is optimal for early-game sweeping, but now that slot #001 and #004 are empty in my Dex, I'm twitching.
FIELD NOTE: The creature known as "Anirapto" is the apex predator here. Lore suggests it's a Primal entity. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. If you knock this thing out without catching it, the script might not respawn it. I don't trust these Alpha-build event flags.
THE CATCHABILITY INDEX
Here is the critical data. The developer, MKSSB, has implemented a system where the Pokedex is expanded, but the "Three Version" system is a massive hurdle for solo operatives. Unless there is a cross-save trading mechanism or a specialized NPC, completing the National Dex requires multi-instance emulation.
However, inside a single version, the density is high. Living Dex is possible without cheats within the regional confines, assuming you pick the right version for your target exclusives. I’ve spent 12 hours just in the tall grass of Route 1 because the encounter tables felt "scrambled"—a nice way of saying the RNG is chaotic. I love it.
TECHNICAL STABILITY & QOL
Let's talk logistics. The region operates on a modified FireRed engine. The visual landscape of this region is vibrant, unlike anything in the Kanto sector; new tilesets give Caligo a distinct, almost oppressive atmosphere fitting the "Dark Ruler" lore. But the communication lines are fuzzy. Text boxes sometimes display "scrambled scripts"—garbled text or broken English. It adds to the immersion of being in a foreign, hostile land, but it makes following the prophecy of Anirapto difficult.
- Threat Level: Moderate. The Gym Leaders use customized teams, but the AI is standard Gen 3.
- Navigation: Map layouts are fresh. No muscle memory from Kanto will save you here.
- The Grind: 100% completion took me 85 hours. A significant portion of that was deciphering where the hell the next event trigger was due to the cryptic dialogue.
POST-GAME OPERATIONS
The intel promised a "long afterstory." I can confirm the existence of post-League operations. The map opens up, revealing the hideouts of the "New Bad Team" (designation pending). There are remnants of the ancient high culture to explore. It’s meaty, but it lacks the polish of a Battle Frontier. It’s raw exploration. Just how I like it.
FINAL LOG
Nukleon is a rough gem. It triggers my completionist dopamine receptors with its new species, but the version splitting and script errors test my patience. I have captured the Anirapto. The box is full. I can finally sleep.
