LOG ENTRY: DAY 1 - THE REALITY GLITCH
I don’t know where I am. The map says Hoenn, but the neurological feedback I’m getting is pure static. I stepped into the tall grass on Route 101 expecting a Wurmple. Instead, I was assaulted by a Solgaleo that knew Splash. This isn't just a region; it's a kaleidoscope of broken data.
I am DexHunter Ace, and I am currently hyperventilating. Why? Because in the Pokemon Moon Emerald Extreme Randomizer sector, the laws of physics—and type matchups—have been rewritten. Fire burns underwater. Water is dry. My spreadsheets are useless here. I tried to catalog a Pidgey, and it used a move that turned the sky purple. This is the definition of an "Extreme" environment.
THE CATALOGING NIGHTMARE (AND DREAM)
My goal was simple: 100% completion. But this region fights back. The local biodiversity includes roughly 60 species from the Alola region (Gen 7), including Alolan Forms. Seeing an Alolan Vulpix in the Petalburg Woods was a visual treat, but the randomization logic is brutal. Since types are randomized, you can't predict False Swipe effectiveness. Do you know how hard it is to catch a Legendary when you don't know if it's immune to your status moves? It keeps me up at night.
FIELD NOTE: Do not trust your memory. That Charmander might be a Grass-type now. Always check the summary screen immediately upon capture. Assume nothing.
QUALITY OF LIFE: THE SAVING GRACE
Despite the chaos, the local engineers have implemented critical technology to aid in the hunt. The most crucial discovery? Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. I found these items being sold like common potions. This means I don't need to signal another Explorer to evolve my Machoke (or whatever Machoke has morphed into in this twisted reality). Solo-completion is viable, assuming you can survive the randomized move-sets.
Furthermore, the Increased Shiny Rate is not a rumor. It is a verifiable atmospheric anomaly. I encountered three shiny specimens within the first six hours. For a hunter like me, this is dopamine on tap. It almost makes up for the fact that my starter Pokemon tried to use Self-Destruct on turn one.
POST-GAME AND ANOMALIES
The expedition didn't end at the Champion. Post-game is massive. Battle Frontier included. However, entering the Battle Factory with randomized movesets is an exercise in masochism. Imagine renting a Pokemon only to find out its only damaging move is a randomized Struggle variant. It is glorious. It is terrible.
I must warn you: the "Not All" tag on the Gen 1-7 roster is a itch I can't scratch. There are holes in the National Dex that simply cannot be filled because the data doesn't exist in this dimension. For a completionist, it's a dull ache, but the sheer unpredictability of the existing roster distracts from the emptiness.
FINAL LOG
I have spent days trying to understand the type chart of this region. I have failed. But I have filled boxes with Alolan oddities and randomized monstrosities. 100% completion took me 85 hours. mostly because I spent 20 of them trying to figure out why a Caterpie was resisting Dragon Claw. If you value your sanity, stay away. If you value the thrill of the unknown, dive in.
