LOG ENTRY: THE ENDLESS GYM CHALLENGE

Location: Region 4, Gym #38
Time Elapsed: 112 Hours, 43 Minutes
Pokedex Status: 689/721 (95%)

I need to sit down. My Trainer Card is physically heavy. Do you have any idea what 39 Badges looks like? It looks like a scrap metal yard in my pocket. I arrived in the Moemon Emerald Fore sector expecting a standard recon mission, but this place... this place is a fever dream of quantity over sanity.

THE ANOMALY: MOEMON & MECHANICS

First, the visual data. The local fauna—the "Moemon"—have undergone a drastic morphological shift. They resemble humanoid females in cosplay. It’s disorienting. I spent ten minutes trying to figure out if the entity in front of me was a Pidgey or a cosplayer lost in the tall grass. For a completionist, this is a nightmare. You have to relearn silhouette recognition from scratch.

But the real neurological itch? The physics engine. The archives stated: "Absolutely no changes to the beloved mechanics of gen 3!" They weren't lying. I have a Dark Xerneas—a literal god of destruction—and it's running off Gen 3 mechanics. Do you know what that means? No Physical/Special split. My Sneasel is useless. My Gyarados is crying. Living Dex is possible without cheats, technically, but using Gen 6 mons with Gen 3 data structures feels like trying to run a supercomputer on a potato battery.

THE 39-GYM MARATHON

I track everything. Spreadsheets, pivot tables, heat maps. This region broke my spreadsheet. Four custom regions. Thirty-nine gyms. It sounds like paradise, but it's an endurance test. The difficulty curve is a jagged line drawn by a seismograph during an earthquake.

FIELD NOTE: The mapping architecture, allegedly by "XxMl33tCharzardXxX", defies Euclidean geometry. I walked through a door in Region 2 and ended up in a void. Navigate with extreme caution.

The local hostile faction, "TEAM BAD GUY," and their leader "Darkman," are exactly as subtle as they sound. However, don't let the nomenclature fool you. The sheer volume of battles means you will run out of PP. I had to resort to Struggle tactics twice just to clear the 20+ rival encounters.

CATCHABILITY REPORT

Here is the breakdown for my fellow hunters:

  • Availability: 721 slots. They are crammed into every patch of grass. You will find Legendaries in places they have no business being.
  • Missables: Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave of Dark Xerneas. If you knock it out, the script might not reset. I stared at the empty screen for 45 minutes in horror before reloading a previous save state.
  • Post-Game: The game is post-game. When you have 39 gyms, the concept of "End Game" dissolves.

FINAL LOG

100% completion took me 112 hours. And I'm still not sure if I beat the game or if the game beat me. It's a chaotic, unpolished, massive sprawl of content that feels like a modding experiment gone rogue. If you need to fill boxes, come here. If you want stability, stay in Kanto.
