LOG ENTRY: SECTOR MERCURY AZOTH (v0.011)
Current Pokedex: 4 / ??? (Data Corruption)
Time Elapsed: 01:42:15
Heart Rate: Elevated
I dropped into the Mercury Azoth sector expecting a standard Johto reconnaissance run. What I found was a bizarre, fragmented reality. This isn't just a region; it's a construction site. The local architecture resembles the HeartGold/SoulSilver simulation, but the physics engine is pure FireRed with a CFRU injection. It feels... unstable. Exciting, but unstable.
THE CENSUS: GENERATION 1-8 DETECTED
My scanner picked up signatures for over 800 species. Living Dex is possible without cheats. Or at least, it will be. Seeing Galar-native fauna wandering around a Kanto-based engine running a Johto map is enough to give a completionist vertigo. The biodiversity potential here is staggering, but currently, I'm hitting invisible walls everywhere. I tried to catalog the local bird population and ran straight into a "Work in Progress" barrier.
LOCAL ANOMALIES & TECHNOLOGY
The tech here is a mixed bag of advanced QoL and baffling design choices.
- Following Pokemon: The entity tracking is solid. My partner walks behind me without glitching into the scenery. Good bonding metrics.
- The "Mom" Bank: To save my progress, I have to wire funds to my mother? This is a terrifying economic shift. I can't just open my menu and scribble in a notebook; I have to pay a transaction fee to secure my existence.
- Auditory Hallucinations: Important NPCs have unique voice modulation. It's jarring. I'm used to text boxes, not hearing actual vocal frequencies in a GBA environment.
FIELD NOTE: The CFRU engine usually guarantees the Best QoL: Infinite Repel system. I couldn't verify its full functionality due to the short expedition range, but the infrastructure is there.
THE 0.011 REALITY CHECK
Look, I don't get out of bed for anything less than a National Dex, and right now, this region is a tease. It's a v0.011 prototype. I mapped the available area in under two hours. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Actually, save before doing anything. The stability is questionable, and with the save system tied to the "Mom" mechanic, you don't want to lose a shiny because you forgot to pay your dues.
FINAL LOG
There is ambition here. Massive ambition. But for a Hunter like me? It's torture. I can see the slots in the Pokedex, but I can't fill them. I'm marking this map for a return trip in 2025.
