MISSION LOG: ENTRY #001 - THE HOENN ANOMALY
Location: Littleroot Town (Coordinates: Unstable)
Current Pokedex: 0/???
Heart Rate: 140 BPM (Elevated)
I touched down in the Mega Prime Emerald X sector expecting a standard recon mission. What I found was a chaotic soup of data streams from eight different generations crammed into a Generation 3 chassis. My neurological need to categorize everything is screaming. The local authorities (Creator: PokeDama’s Tips) have flooded the ecosystem with biological entities ranging from Kanto staples to Galar natives. Gen 8 Starters are roaming the wild. I repeat: Grookey is in the tall grass. This is not a drill.
THE CATCHABILITY INDEX
My spreadsheet is weeping. We are looking at a potential roster of 800+ distinct genetic signatures. The sheer volume of biodiversity here is staggering, bordering on unmanageable for a solo operative. However, I’ve confirmed a critical resource: Living Dex is possible without cheats. Or at least, it theoretically is, given the expanded zones like the "HOELOLANOVA Safari" (don't ask me to pronounce that, I just throw balls at it).
I encountered the "Alolan Vulpix Sanctuary". A dedicated zone for a regional variant? This is the kind of obsessive detail I live for. It scratched an itch in my brain I didn't know I had. However, the ecosystem is unstable. I spotted visual glitches—what the locals call "Damaged colors." To me, it looks like the fabric of reality is tearing. I spent 20 minutes staring at a pixelated NPC thinking it was a MissingNo event.
RESOURCE ALLOCATION & ANOMALIES
Upon accessing my PC at the base of operations, I found a supply drop: 50 Rare Candies. Then, checking the home storage... 5 Master Balls. Five. Do you know what this does to the economy of the hunt? It trivializes the capture of high-threat roamers. I felt dirty using them, but when a Galarian Articuno appeared, I didn't hesitate. I’m a collector, not a saint.
NOTE: The "Isle of Guardians" housing Arceus, Dialga, and Palkia is a navigation nightmare. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. The scripting there feels fragile. One wrong step and you might lock yourself out of the Creation Trio forever.
THE POST-GAME GRIND
This is where the fever dream truly begins. The region has been surgically altered. New cities have popped up where oceans used to be. The inclusion of Mega Evolution is functional, though the animation sequences caused mild frame-rate drops on my DexNav. The difficulty is spiked—Gym Leaders aren't just using Potions; they are using competitive movesets. I actually had to EV train my starter.
100% completion took me 85 hours. And that was with the free Rare Candies speeding up the evolution grind. Without them? You're looking at a 120-hour sentence.
FINAL FIELD NOTES
Is it polished? No. The visual anomalies are a constant irritant to my retinas. Is it packed with content? Absolutely. It’s a messy, overflowing buffet of Pokémon. If you can ignore the "beta" feel and the occasional color palette crash, the dopamine hit of catching Gen 8 mons in Emerald is undeniable.
