LOG ENTRY: KANTO SECTOR (TIMELINE V-1.1.4)
Location: Cerulean Cave, Deepest Level
Status: Twitching. Medicated. Obsessed.
I have just emerged from the Kanto region, designated Mega Blue. My Pokedex is currently sitting at 99.3% capacity, and the missing 0.7% is causing me physical pain. This expedition was a mixture of high-dopamine QoL injections and one glaring, soul-crushing omission.
THE COLLECTION PROTOCOL
Let's get the numbers on the table. The local biodiversity has been updated. We are looking at a Kanto Dex that includes cross-generational evolutions. Seeing a Magmortar in Kanto feels like spotting a UFO, but the data checks out. Living Dex is possible without cheats. ...Well, almost. The official intelligence states that Mew is excluded from the ecosystem. I have checked under every truck. I have scanned the code matrix. Slot #151 is empty. It stares at me. It mocks me. For a completionist, this is an itch you cannot scratch.
NOTE: Alolan Forms have been detected in the Sevii Islands sector. Do not ignore the tropical biomes. They are mandatory for the collection.
TECHNOLOGICAL ANOMALIES
The region has undergone significant modernization. The 'Fairy' type is present, completely disrupting the Dragon-type dominance of the old era. Furthermore, local researchers have implemented what they call 'Mega Evolution'. I found the necessary keystones. Triggering these in battle feels like unlocking a cheat code, but the Gym Leaders—specifically the new threats Archer and Ariana—are not afraid to hit back. The difficulty curve is not a flat line; it's a jagged cliff.
QUALITY OF LIFE REPORT
Thank Arceus for the local technology updates. The HMs are forgettable—no longer do I need to burden a poor Bidoof (or Rattata, in this sector) with Cut. TMs are infinite. This allowed me to optimize my team's movesets without the anxiety of wasting a one-time resource. The Day and Night cycle adds a nice visual flair, though it complicates the hunting schedule for nocturnal species.
FINAL LOG
The visual landscape of this region is vibrant, unlike anything in the standard Kanto sector. The decapitalization of text makes the locals seem less like they are screaming at you, which helps with the immersion. However, be warned: Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. The Legendary encounters are scripted tightly, and you do not want to fail a capture on a shiny Articuno because you forgot to buy Timer Balls.
100% completion took me 85 hours. That includes the Shiny hunting for the starters. If you can ignore the empty Mew slot, this is a solid deployment.
