LOG ENTRY: SECTOR CREST
Touchdown in the Crest Region. The file designation "Marron Merda 2" had me sweating—usually, names like that imply a glitch-city disaster or a meme-wasteland. But my Pokedex is currently sitting at a nauseating 0%, and the neurological itch to fill those slots overrides any safety concerns. I need to turn that zero into a hundred, or I'm not sleeping tonight.
THE LANDSCAPE & TECH
The visual landscape of this region is vibrant, utilizing a graphical palette that separates it from the standard Kanto drabness. But the real treasure here is the local tech. We have a functioning Minimap on the HUD. Do you understand how much time this saves? I don't have to constantly flip open the Key Items pocket to check my bearings. Navigation efficiency is up 40%.
Even better: EVs are visible. I can actually see the stat spread. No more tally marks on a napkin while grinding Pidgeys. I spent six hours strictly optimizing my sweeper's Speed stat just because the interface made it so satisfying.
THE AVLAR GAUNTLET
Hostile entities in this region don't play by Indigo League rules. The Elite 4 has been dissolved. In its place is the Avlar Championship Tournament. Nine rounds. It is a grueling endurance test. I burned through my entire stock of Full Restores in the semi-finals because I underestimated the PP drain.
NOTE: Missable event warning! Save before entering the tournament grounds. Once the bracket starts, you are locked in. There is no turning back to the Pokemon Center.
THE HUNT
I've scoured the tall grass for anomalies. The availability is decent, though I'm still tracking down some elusive spawns to close out the Regional Dex. The best news for solo operatives like myself? Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. This means no trade-evolution bottlenecks. I evolved my Gengar solo in the corner of a PokeMart. Perfection.
100% completion took me 85 hours. That includes the Tournament grind and hunting down the specific regional variants. The "Marron" designation might scare off the tourists, but for a Hunter? It's a valid expedition.
