MISSION LOG: REGION UNKNOWN (CODENAME: LIGHT)
Explorer Identity: DexHunter Ace (LVL. 100)
Current Status: Hyperventilating. Pokedex Sync Error.
Location: Sector 6 Boundary
I landed in the Pokemon Light region with my standard kit: 500 Ultra Balls, a dedicated spreadsheet for EV training, and enough caffeine to kill a Snorlax. My objective was clear: A full Living Dex. But this expedition went sideways faster than a Ninjask with a Speed Boost.
THE LANGUAGE BARRIER ANOMALY
First major hurdle: The local dialect. Intel suggested this region (Base: FireRed) operates on a Chinese infrastructure. While my translator module (Google Lens) did its best, navigating the menus felt like defusing a Voltorb blindfolded. How am I supposed to verify if Living Dex is possible without cheats when I can't even read the Move Tutor's sign? I spent three hours trying to figure out if an NPC was offering a trade or threatening my life.
VISUALS AND MECHANICS
Despite the communication breakdown, the environment is crisp. The architects here have imported Generation 5 tilesets, making the world feel vibrant and modern, far superior to the standard Kanto drabness. I also confirmed the existence of Fairy-type entities and functioning Mega Evolution signals. Seeing a Mega Charizard X in a GBA interface usually brings a tear to my eye, but I was too busy panicking about the lack of documentation.
THE "SCENE 6" CLIFFHANGER
Here is the deal-breaker for any serious completionist. My sensors indicate the world geometry abruptly destabilizes around "Scene 6". The map just... ends? Or loops? It's unclear. I hate uncertainty. I need a 100% flag. In regions like Unbound, 100% completion took me 85 hours of pure bliss. Here, I hit a wall at hour 15 with a Pokedex that was barely 20% full. I can't hunt if the hunting grounds don't exist yet.
Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave at the edge of the known map. I walked in, the screen went black, and I woke up in a glitch void. Had to restore a save from two hours prior. Unacceptable efficiency loss.
THE VERDICT
The local technology (Mega Evos, Tiles) is promising, but the region feels like a construction site abandonware. There is no Link Stone vendor. There is no Documentation. There is only the void beyond Scene 6. I can't fill a Pokedex in a world that isn't finished.
