LOG ENTRY: 0800 HOURS - PALLET TOWN PERIMETER
I haven't blinked in forty-five minutes. My Pokedex counter isn't showing the standard 151. It isn't even showing the National 386. It's reading... 1,500 entries. Do you understand what that means? That’s not an ecosystem; that’s a biological mosh pit. I packed extra batteries. I packed extra coffee. I am not leaving until every single slot is filled, even if the sheer density of species causes the fabric of reality (the frame rate) to collapse.
THE CENSUS NIGHTMARE (POKEDEX ANALYSIS)
The local fauna is absolutely unhinged. We have standard Kanto specimens, sure, but then there are anomalies from Galar, Alola, and... dimensions I don't even recognize. I saw a fusion that looked like a Charizard ate a Blastoise and regretted it immediately. The intel claims Living Dex is possible without cheats, but with the reported "Randomized Pokemon Spawns," my standard mapping protocols are useless. I’m finding Legendaries in Route 1 bushes and Caterpies in the Victory Road. It’s chaos. Beautiful, terrible chaos.
NOTE: Due to the randomization of local wildlife, do not rely on standard habitat data. If you see something rare, catch it immediately. It may never appear in that tile again.
TECHNOLOGICAL LANDSCAPE & QOL
The visual interface has been upgraded significantly. The battle simulations mimic the Nintendo DS era—cleaner sprites, better backgrounds. It helps soothe the migraine induced by the spawn rates. Navigation is smoother thanks to updated local tech. Best QoL: Infinite Repel system. Thank Arceus. With 1,500 potential encounters, being able to walk five steps without a Zubat (or a G-Max Gengar, who knows?) latching onto my face is the only reason I haven't snapped my walking stick.
COMBAT DYNAMICS: THE MEGA-GIGA-MAX PROBLEM
The combat rules here are a splice of multiple generations. Physical and Special moves are properly split—finally, my Hitmonchan is useful. But the region allows for Mega Evolution, Dynamax, and Gigantamax. It’s sensory overload. I encountered a Gym Leader using advanced tactics involving a Dynamaxed Fakemon that defied physics. The difficulty isn't just in the levels; it's in the unpredictability. You cannot prep for a Gym when the Leader might throw a Fusion beast at you.
EXPEDITION SUMMARY
This region is two massive landmasses of pure excess. It's quantity over coherence. For a collector like me, it's an endless buffet, but the food is being thrown at you by a pitching machine. 100% completion took me 92 hours and 14 minutes, and I still feel like I missed a fusion hidden under a truck somewhere.
WARNING: Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave near the second region's coast. The script triggers are volatile, and if you walk in from the wrong angle, the Legendary event might glitch out. I lost a Shiny opportunity there. I'm still screaming internally.
