LOG ENTRY: SECTOR SEVII - PRELIMINARY SCOUTING
My hands are shaking. Not from fear, but from withdrawal. I loaded this simulation expecting a continent, and I got an archipelago. A beautiful, high-fidelity archipelago, but an archipelago nonetheless. I am DexHunter Ace, and I have a neurological need for completion, but this mission ended before I could even organize my PC boxes by color.
THE LANDSCAPE: VISUAL STIMULI
The environment is running on the Heart Gold engine, but the topography is distinctly Kanto Sector 7 (Sevii Islands). The visual fidelity is high. New models and maps have been integrated seamlessly. It’s not just a copy-paste job; the terrain feels lived-in. However, the boundaries are tight. I walked into invisible walls where the ocean should be. It hurts the immersion, but for a v1.1 Demo, the stability is acceptable.
THE CATCH REPORT
I ran the numbers. 100% completion took me 3 hours. Three. Hours. For a casual tourist, that's a pleasant afternoon. For me? That's barely a warm-up. I didn't even break a sweat.
- Pokedex Availability: Severely restricted by the demo boundaries.
- Shiny Hunting: Standard Gen 4 odds. No advanced chaining tools detected yet.
- Progression: Self-contained story involving Team Rocket.
Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. There are scripting triggers in the new story segments that can be unpredictable.
FUTURE PROJECTIONS
The intel claims Hoenn is the next target for integration. Hoenn mechanics in the HGSS engine? Now you have my attention. If the developer can maintain this level of polish and expand the catchment area, we are looking at a potential Tier 1 ecosystem. I am praying to Arceus that in the full release, a Living Dex is possible without cheats. If I have to trade with myself using two emulator windows, I will lose my mind.
FINAL FIELD NOTES
This is an appetizer. A tease. It's like seeing a Shiny Pokemon in the Safari Zone and running out of bait. The potential is massive, but right now, my Pokedex remains tragically empty.
