MISSION REPORT: VALORAN EXPEDITION
Explorer: DexHunter Ace (LVL. 100)
Region: Valoran (Pokemon League of Legends)
Base Coordinates: Emerald Sector
Mission Duration: 23 hours, 47 minutes
Pokedex Completion: 100% (ALL CHAMPIONS SECURED)
INITIAL CONTACT
Okay. OKAY. So someone looked at the Hoenn region and said, "What if instead of Pokemon, we caught League of Legends Champions?" And honestly? My completionist brain short-circuited for about fifteen minutes. Every single Champion up to Camille is in here. That's over 130 unique entities to catalog. My hands were shaking when I booted this up. Living Dex is possible without cheats. I verified this personally. Every. Single. Champion. Obtainable through normal gameplay. No trade evolution nonsense, no event-locked nightmares.
REGIONAL PHENOMENA
The local technology here is fascinating. The researchers have implemented a Physical/Special split, which means my damage calculations actually make sense. Fairy typing exists. The Black2/White2 Repel system is active—Best QoL: Infinite Repel system. I nearly cried. No more mashing A every 250 steps while hunting for that one Champion I'm missing in tall grass.
HMs have been completely abolished in this region. Local engineers developed some kind of bypass technology. I walked through the entire continent without teaching a single Champion "Cut" or "Rock Smash." This is the future, people.
FIELD NOTE: Over 500 unique moves documented in this region. 75 new abilities classified as "passives." The combat system here operates on completely different principles than standard Pokemon encounters. Threat assessment required constant recalibration.
EXPEDITION LOG: THE HUNT
Hour 3: Encountered my first animated Champion sprite. These aren't static images—they move. The visual landscape of Valoran is unlike anything in the Kanto sector. Custom tiles everywhere. New battle backgrounds that actually match the terrain. Someone put work into this.
Hour 8: Discovered the Fleshing Arena in post-game content. Post-game is massive. Battle Frontier included. Well, not exactly Battle Frontier, but equivalent facilities for testing your completed roster. Battled against famous LoL players and teams. The trainer classes here are completely unique to this region.
Hour 15: Cataloged my 100th Champion. The Pokedex entries are custom-written for each one. Unique cries. Unique stats. This isn't a lazy sprite swap—someone rebuilt the entire species database from scratch.
Hour 23: 100% completion achieved. All areas of Valoran accessible. No missables detected.
QUALITY OF LIFE ASSESSMENT
- Repel System: Black2/White2 style. Automatic prompt to use another. Perfect.
- HM Removal: Complete. No HM slaves required.
- Trade Evolutions: Non-applicable. Champion evolution methods are region-specific.
- Decapitalization: Text reads like actual sentences, not SHOUTING.
- Music: New tracks throughout. Fits the Valoran aesthetic.
ANOMALY REPORT
This expedition was conducted on a build last updated September 2017. That's ancient by ROM hack standards. No further patches detected. The region appears stable, but I encountered no shiny hunting methodology—standard odds apply, no DexNav equivalent, no chain mechanics. For dedicated hunters, this is a concern. The shiny hunting infrastructure simply doesn't exist here.
WARNING: Version freeze detected. Creator "C me" has not transmitted updates in years. What you see is what you get. No bug fixes incoming. No new Champions beyond Camille.
THREAT LEVEL ASSESSMENT
Difficulty felt moderate. Gym Leader equivalents (I assume regional commanders?) used competent teams but nothing that required extensive grinding or team restructuring. Experienced Explorers will find this manageable. Newcomers might struggle with unfamiliar ability interactions.
FINAL EXPEDITION NOTES
This is a novelty expedition. A crossover curiosity. If you're a League of Legends fan who also has the completionist gene, you'll get a solid 20+ hours cataloging Champions and exploring Valoran. The QoL features are genuinely impressive for a 2017 build. Physical/Special split, Fairy type, no HMs, modern Repel system—all present.
But here's my concern: it's frozen in time. No updates since 2017 means any bugs I didn't encounter are permanent residents. The post-game exists but lacks the depth of modern complete hacks. No Battle Frontier proper, no competitive facilities, no shiny hunting optimization.
For pure Pokedex completion? Satisfying. For long-term replayability? Limited.
