LOG ENTRY: 0800 HOURS - REGION: PRAVIA
My hands are shaking. I checked the save file three times. The Pokedex counter is stuck at a pathetic double-digit number. Why? Because this expedition was cut short. The intel labeled this zone "Completed" in some databases, but my field experience confirms a harsher reality: It's a Demo.
You know the rules. Gotta. Catch. Them. ALL. It's not a slogan; it's a neurological need. I don't sleep until my Pokedex says 100%. If I see an empty slot #493, I start sweating. And here? I'm sweating buckets because the road literally ends.
VISUAL ANOMALIES & AUDIO
The visual landscape of this region is a bizarre hybrid. We are operating on a GBA engine (Ruby architecture), yet the environment mimics the Sinnoh sector almost perfectly. The tilesets are pulled straight from the NDS era. It's disorienting but beautiful. The audio logs match the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum frequencies. For a moment, I thought I was back in Jubilife, but the menu lag reminded me I was in a modified Hoenn simulation.
THE ECOSYSTEM (OR LACK THEREOF)
Here is where the mission gets messy. The local Professor offered me a Legendary as a Starter. This is a catastrophic disruption of the power curve. Handing a trainer a deity at Level 5? It trivializes the early game hunt. There is no thrill in the capture if the target is handed to you on a silver platter.
The biodiversity claims to span Generations 1 through 4, with rumors of a wormhole to the Unova region. I couldn't verify the Unova link due to the mission boundaries. I'm staring at my Nav unit, praying that a Living Dex is possible without cheats in the final build, but right now, the data is too fragmented.
FIELD NOTES & WARNINGS
- The Difficulty Spike: Hostile trainers are erratic. Without a proper level curve, you either steamroll with your Legendary or get walloped by a sudden level jump.
- Save Corruption Risk: The scripting feels unstable.
Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. I encountered a script loop near the second town that nearly wiped my progress.
- QoL Check: I searched every Mart for modern amenities. I was desperate for the basics. Best QoL: Infinite Repel system. Status: Missing. I wasted hours navigating tall grass without it.
FINAL LOG
This region has potential, but it's currently a glitch city. It promises the worldโNDS graphics, massive roster, new storyโbut delivers a fragment. For a completionist like me, playing an unfinished hack is physical torture. I can't mark this map as 'Done'.
