MISSION LOG: DAY 42 - THE KANTO ANOMALY
I haven't slept since I entered the region. My eyes are dry, my thumbs are blistered, and my Pokedex is finally... finally showing signs of completion. This isn't the Kanto we grew up with. It’s a dense, overpopulated combat zone. The biodiversity here is off the charts—scanners are picking up readings from Gen I all the way to Gen IX. I saw a Paradox Pokemon eating berries near Pallet Town. The ecosystem is chaotic, and I love it.
THE CENSUS: CATCHABILITY REPORT
Let's get straight to the meat. You want to know if you can catch them all? Living Dex is possible without cheats. The local governing body has implemented protocols ensuring every single species, including the elusive Mythicals like Celebi and Jirachi, are obtainable through specific field events. No more walking through a door and missing a legendary forever.
- Trade Evolutions: Neutralized. You don't need a second operative to evolve your Kadabra.
- Regional Variants: Alolan, Galarian, and Hisuian forms are present. I found myself tracking down forms I didn't even know existed in this timeline.
- The Grind: 100% completion took me 85 hours. And that's with optimal pathing.
THREAT LEVEL: LETHAL
Do not enter this region expecting a vacation. The hostility level of local trainers has been cranked to maximum. My analysis of enemy teams indicates Perfect EVs and Maxed AI on nearly every opponent. This isn't just Gym Leaders; Youngsters on Route 3 are packing heat. I barely survived a skirmish with a trainer modeling themselves after the manga character 'Yellow'.
WARNING: The Elite Four are not sitting in their tower. They are roaming the overworld. I ran into Lorelei while fishing and nearly wiped. Save often.
LOGISTICS & QOL
Thank Arceus for the technological advancements in this sector. The local tech allows for Infinite TMs and HMs that can be forgotten at will. I didn't have to waste a move slot on Cut for 40 hours. Huge W. The Day/Night cycle adds a layer of complexity to the hunting, requiring strict schedule management to snag the nocturnal species.
POST-EXPEDITION CONTENT
Just when I thought I was done, the map expanded. Tohjo Falls, Mt Silver, Southern Island... the sheer volume of landmass added to the Kanto sector is staggering. Post-game is massive. Battle Frontier included. I spent three days just navigating the Mirage Island anomalies. If you have the itch to fill boxes, this is your scratching post.
