MISSION LOG: DAY 01 - ARRIVAL IN THE KAISEN SECTOR
I touched down in the Kaisen region expecting a standard Kanto remix, but my sensors are picking up massive amounts of... Cursed Energy? The atmosphere here is thick. It’s not just the humidity; it’s the sheer hostility of the fauna. This isn't your grandpa's Palette Town. The local architecture suggests an RPGXP framework, providing visual fidelity far surpassing the GBA spectrum, but the underlying data structures feel... haunted.
THE DEX: 151 MODIFIED SPECIMENS
My palms started sweating immediately upon checking the regional Pokedex. Only 151 slots? At first, I scoffed. I thought I’d be done by lunch. I was wrong. These aren't the Kanto mons you remember. The local Farfetch'd population possesses combat metrics that defy standard logic. I encountered one on Route 1 that nearly wiped my squad. It’s a monster.
I have confirmed that Living Dex is possible without cheats. Every single entry, from Bulbasaur to Mew, is obtainable within these borders. However, there is a massive anomaly in the type chart: Dark-types are non-existent. This creates a power vacuum where Psychic-types reign with unchecked tyranny. Alakazam isn't just a sweeper here; he's a deity. Prepare your counters accordingly, or you will be erased.
ANOMALIES & MECHANICS
The local technology has patched the irritating trade-evolution phenomenon. Entities that usually require a Link Cable now undergo metamorphosis simply by leveling up. This is efficient. This is how it should be. It saves me precious seconds that I can dedicate to optimizing my box organization.
NOTE: The protagonist appears to suffer from acute Fridgephobia. I have been instructed to interact with every refrigeration unit I encounter. The psychological implications are disturbing, but for the sake of 100% completion, I have inspected 47 fridges so far. Nothing good has come of it.
THREAT LEVEL: CRITICAL
Do not let the adjusted XP curve fool you. The hostility level is severe. The Gym Leaders here utilize tactics reminiscent of the Jujutsu Sorcerers from the archives. They don't just battle; they aim to decommission you. The narrative doesn't follow the standard "defeat villain, villain retreats" loop. These antagonists are persistent. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. The puzzles in the mid-game sector are brain-meltingly obtuse. One wrong move and you might be resetting to a save file from three hours ago.
MISSION DEBRIEF
The post-game sector is present and includes sidequests that flesh out the lore, but the lack of a sprawling National Dex leaves my collector's itch slightly unscratched. However, the sheer difficulty of the main campaign compensated for the lower volume of captures. 100% completion took me 85 hours. Most of that was spent grinding to survive the Psychic onslaught and solving puzzles that require an IQ of 200. It’s a manic, stressful, beautiful mess.
