MISSION LOG: DAY 42 - THE MYNOAN SECTOR
I haven't blinked in six hours. My Pokedex counter is sitting at 98%, and I can hear the Golden Sun soundtrack bleeding into my dreams. I just returned from the Mynoan Region, codename Pokemon Jupiter. This isn't your standard Hoenn vacation. This is a dimensional rift.
THE ANOMALY (ATMOSPHERE & PLOT)
The first thing you notice is the audio signal. It’s not trumpets; it’s the synthesized glory of Weyard. You are Ivan. Yes, the Mind Reader. The local technology allows for Telepathy. You can read the minds of every NPC. Do you know how much text that is? I read everyone. I checked every trash can. I invaded every thought bubble.
The narrative is heavy. The Threat Level is substantial, not because of level curves, but because of the puzzles. It feels like a dungeon crawler disguised as a creature collector.
THE HUNT (CATCHABILITY REPORT)
Here is the breakdown for my fellow completionists. The regional Dex is a chaotic mix. Because this simulation runs on the archaic Ruby engine (AXVE 0907), we are missing modern amenities. No Physical/Special split means you have to rethink your entire offensive strategy. Gyarados is useless. Alakazam is a god.
Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. The Sunken Palace requires precise movements. If you mess up the Psynergy puzzle, you might be soft-locked. I had to reload a save from three hours prior. The pain was exquisite.
THE GRIND & LOGISTICS
Is this region viable for a true master? The developer, Corvus, clearly wanted us to suffer, but in the good way. The legendary encounters are scripted events that feel epic rather than just random grass encounters.
- Living Dex is possible without cheats. I verified the spawns. You can obtain the starters and trade evolutions through in-game events, though some require backtracking that will make you scream.
- Shiny Hunting: Archaic. No chaining. No DexNav. You are relying on full odds RNG here, people. Only for the masochists.
- Stability: The Ruby base is held together by duct tape and prayers. I encountered minor visual glitches when entering heavy weather zones.
FINAL ANALYSIS
100% completion took me 85 hours. That includes reading every mind and solving the Charon's Crypt puzzle. It is a relic of a different era—rough around the edges, lacking the smooth QoL of modern decomp projects, but the soul of this hack is undeniable. It scratches an itch that standard games ignore.
If you value puzzle density over battle mechanics, this is your Mount Everest.
