MISSION LOG: REGION HYDRO BLISS
Explorer: DexHunter Ace (LVL. 100)
Location: Hydro Bliss Region (Sector RPGXP)
Mission Duration: 112 Hours
Pokedex Status: 98% (Sweating profusely)
THE CATCHER'S PARADOX
Listen to me. I have charted nearly every region in the multiverse, but Hydro Bliss is a logistical behemoth. We are talking about two massive regions and over 900 distinct maps. Do you understand the implications of that for a completionist? It means I haven't slept in four days. My eyes are burning, but I cannot stop. The biodiversity here is staggering—species ranging from the Kanto baseline all the way to the Paldea sector (Gen 1-9) roam these lands.
The sheer scale is intimidating. Usually, I clear a route and move on. Here? The exploration feels endless. 100% completion took me 112 hours, and I still feel like I missed a hidden grotto somewhere near the second region's coastline. If you are the type of Explorer who needs to check every trash can, bring eye drops.
THE LIVING DEX PROTOCOL
Let's get to the meat. Can you catch them all? Yes. But the local technology offers something I've rarely seen in other sectors. This region utilizes a multi-save architecture that allows you to transfer biological data between save files. This is a game-changer for solo operatives.
Usually, I'm begging for a trade partner or hacking in a Link Stone. Here? I can essentially trade with myself across timelines. Living Dex is possible without cheats. It requires setting up multiple operations, but for a grinder like me, it's paradise. No more begging on forums for a Scizor.
ANOMALIES AND THREAT ASSESSMENT
The combat simulations here are... different. There is a "Pacifist Battle" format available. I tried it. It's a bizarre anomaly where direct damage is nullified, and you must rely on status and hazard tactics. It's interesting, but I'm here to catch, not negotiate. Fortunately, the standard hostility levels (Difficulty Modes) are adjustable. I cranked it to the maximum threat level immediately.
FIELD NOTE: The route design allows you to bypass wild encounters entirely if you stick to the path. For a speedrunner, this is efficiency. For me? It's anxiety. I had to force myself to walk into the tall grass to ensure I wasn't missing a 1% spawn rate encounter.
QUALITY OF LIFE (QoL) REPORT
The local tech is advanced. The Stat Scanner allows for immediate IV/EV checking, which cuts down my breeding time significantly. However, the sheer volume of custom moves (300+ new tactical options) means your old encyclopedic knowledge of move pools is obsolete. You have to relearn the meta.
One major warning for fellow collectors: The map density is high. It is very easy to overlook a side area containing a unique species. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave systems in the second region; the pathing can get confusing and I nearly locked myself out of a legendary encounter due to a navigational error.
FINAL ANALYSIS
Hydro Bliss is not a casual stroll; it is an endurance run. The 900 maps are both a blessing and a curse—it feels like a true world, but the fatigue sets in around hour 60. However, the ability to transfer mons and the inclusion of Gen 9 species makes it a top-tier destination for the Living Dex obsessed.
