MISSION LOG: NEBUIL REGION ENTRY
Timestamp: 03:42 AM
Location: Nebuil League HQ
Pokedex Status: 386/386 (COMPLETE)
Caffeine Level: Lethal
I just touched down from the Nebuil Region, and my hands are still shaking. Not from fear, but from the sheer logistical overload of tracking three—count them, THREE—hostile syndicates simultaneously. While most regions struggle to contain one group of fashion-disaster grunts, Nebuil decided to host a villain convention. But I didn't care about their politics. I cared about one thing: The National Dex. I don't sleep until my Pokedex says 100%, and this region tested that resolve.
THE CENSUS (POKEDEX 386)
Headquarters intel confirmed the presence of species #001 through #386. I can verify this is accurate. Living Dex is possible without cheats. I repeat: NO CHEATS REQUIRED. Do you know how rare that is in a chaotic region like this? usually, you have to trade or hack for the starters or trade-evos. Here, the biodiversity is dense. You’re finding Hoenn natives in Kanto-style biomes. It’s unnatural, it’s jarring, and I absolutely love it. If I see an empty slot #493, I start sweating, but luckily this region caps at Gen 3, so my neuroses were manageable.
THREAT LEVEL: TRIPLE THREAT
The local government has lost control. Encountering three evil organizations at once messes with your routing. Usually, you clear a hideout, heal, and move on. Here? You walk out of a Team A base and stumble into a Team B blockade. The scripting for these villain arcs can be volatile. I found myself cornered multiple times.
FIELD NOTE: Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. The scripting triggers for the three teams can overlap. I nearly locked myself out of a Legendary encounter because I triggered a cutscene from the wrong angle.
MECHANICAL ANOMALIES
The local tech is a mix of standard FireRed architecture and some custom modifications. The TMs and HMs behave differently here—their power output has been spiked. Moves you’d usually delete immediately are suddenly viable threats. It changes the catch-meta when a wild mon can hit you harder than expected with a utility move. The visual landscape of this region is vibrant, unlike anything in the Kanto sector, with entirely new overworlds that break the monotony of the standard assets.
FINAL METRICS
Is it the most polished engine? No. There are rough edges in the scripts. But the catchability is 100%. 100% completion took me 38 hours. It’s a tight, condensed experience, but for a collector, the density of rare spawns makes up for the lack of modern hunting tools like the DexNav.
