LOG ENTRY: REGION 404 - "GIRLS HUNTER" SECTOR
Timestamp: 0300 Hours. Caffeine Level: Critical. Pokedex Status: Confused.
I’ve touched down in a region that defies standard biological classification. The intel promised a standard FireRed base, but the local fauna... isn't fauna. They appear to be humanoid variants. My initial scan suggests a massive genetic divergence event. But look, I don't care if the target looks like a Charizard or a teenager in a cosplay outfit—if it has a hitbox and a catch rate, it belongs in my PC box.
THE CATCHING PROTOCOL
Immediate anomaly detected upon boot-up: At the beginning of this game, you will have 10 Pokemon to play. Ten! Do you realize the logistical nightmare of sorting IVs for ten starters simultaneously? My spreadsheet nearly crashed. However, from a completionist standpoint, this is a massive injection of data right out of the gate. No need to trade for starters. Efficiency is up 300%.
The developers—or "Architects" of this reality—have implemented a Mystery Gift Receptionist in every Pokemon Center. This is the holy grail for hunters like me. Usually, I have to inject code to get event tickets. Here? They hand them out like flyers. Living Dex is possible without cheats. I repeat: Event tickets are functional. I secured access to restricted islands without corrupting my save file.
ANOMALIES & MECHANICS
The region boasts "Extra Pokémon from future Gens" and a "New form of Mega Evolution." In practice, this manifests as high-level threat entities wandering routes where they shouldn't exist. I encountered species from the Unova and Kalos sectors mingling with the Kanto natives. It’s an ecological disaster, but a collector's paradise.
NOTE: The "Mega Evolution" here feels experimental. It’s not the polished burst we see in the Kalos region. It’s raw. Save often.
However, the stability of this dimension is questionable. While hunting for the new forms, I noticed the texture boundaries flickering. It’s not game-breaking, but it triggers my anxiety. You can feel the seams of the world stretching to accommodate these new assets.
THE 100% GRIND
I haven't slept in three days. The distribution of species is chaotic. Because they jammed future generation mons into a Kanto map, the encounter tables are bloated. You might spend three hours in Viridian Forest just to find that one 1% encounter rate species. I love it. The pain makes the capture sweeter. 100% completion took me 85 hours. Most of that was just double-checking the event flags for the Mystery Gifts.
One major red flag for fellow completionists: The event scripts are fragile. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Specifically, when using the event tickets. If you black out or trigger the wrong flag, the legendary might vanish into the void forever. I almost lost a slot because I didn't stock up on Ultra Balls before warping.
FINAL LOG
Is this a polished experience? No. It's a chaotic, fever-dream remix of FireRed mechanics with a questionable visual aesthetic. But for someone who needs to see that "Caught" symbol next to every single ID number, it provides a unique itch. The ability to grab 10 starters and access event tickets natively is a feature I wish official regions would adopt.
