LOG ENTRY: THE BAKAISHI ANOMALY
Location: Bakaishi Region, Starter Town
Status: HYPERVENTILATING
I have touched down in a region simply labeled "Pokemon Game" in the archives. A generic name for a distinct nightmare. The local atmospheric conditions prevent Pokemon evolution. Read that again. They. Do. Not. Evolve. My Pokedex completion anxiety is spiking. How am I supposed to register a Charizard if my Charmeleon refuses to grow up? I spent the first hour force-feeding Rare Candies to a Pidgey, screaming at the screen, until the "mysterious voice" in my head told me to chill. This isn't a glitch; it's the laws of physics here.
THE TERRAIN & LOCAL POPULATION
Visually, the region looks standard, but the local demographics are unusually detailed. Every NPC is a unique entity. No copy-paste Youngsters here. They all have names, backstories, and way too much to say. It slows down the sprint to the tall grass, but adds a layer of immersion usually absent in these sectors. The local technology allows for 3 custom skin tone options at the start of the simulation—a small but appreciated detail for personalization.
FIELD NOTE: The Double Battle protocol is standard engagement here. Hostiles coordinate better than average. Bring potions.
THE AUTOSAVE THREAT
This region utilizes a mandatory "Autosave every 100 steps" protocol. For a casual tourist, this is fine. For me? It's terrifying. Imagine encountering a Shiny, failing the catch, and realizing the game saved after you knocked it out. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave or engaging any static encounters manually, and keep a backup. I don't trust the automated systems when high-value targets are on the line.
THE CATCH REPORT
Because of the biological stasis field (no evolution), the local ecosystem feels stagnant. I am currently assessing if a Living Dex is possible without cheats or if the higher-tier forms are simply non-existent in this demo build (Version 0.30.5). It feels like I'm collecting Funko Pops that never leave the box. Frustrating, yet I cannot stop until I have checked every bush.
OPERATIONAL QUIRKS
The "Mysterious Voice" acts as a guide, breaking the fourth wall constantly. It's amusing, but I'm here for the data, not the commentary. I am desperately searching for a way to disable the encounter rate, but I haven't found it yet. Best QoL: Infinite Repel system is what I'm praying for in the next patch, because with autosave ticking down, I don't have time for Zubats.
Current Completion: 15% (Demo Constraints)
Time Elapsed: 100% completion took me 2 hours (of available content).
