LOG ENTRY: REGION GADIR (COORDINATES: UNKNOWN)
Time: 03:42 AM (I haven't slept in three days)
Location: The Hole, Depth Level 4
Status: Caffeine levels critical. Pokedex at 98%.
Listen to me. I need you to focus. I just stepped off the boat in Gadir, a region that claims to be inspired by the Cádiz province, but to me, it looks like a logistical nightmare in the best possible way. My Pokedex counter ticked up to 1,078 slots the moment I booted up my device. One thousand. Seventy. Eight. Do you understand the magnitude of that number? That is not a game; that is a lifestyle choice. That is a threat.
THE CENSUS: 1,078 TARGETS
The local fauna is out of control. We are talking about every single species known to man, plus indigenous "Gadirian" forms that I had to manually catalogue. I spent six hours in the tall grass on Route 1 just to make sure I didn't miss a 1% encounter rate for a regional rodent. Living Dex is possible without cheats. I repeat: POSSIBLE. The developers—sorry, the "Architects" of this reality—have placed availability above all else. I found wild starters. I found legendaries roaming. I didn't have to beg a stranger for a trade.
NOTE: Keep your PC boxes organized from hour one. With 1,078 mons, if you fall behind on sorting, you will drown. I had to implement a color-coded tagging system just to keep my sanity intact.
LOCAL TECHNOLOGY & ANOMALIES
The region runs on a standalone engine (RPGXP), which means the limitations of the GBA era are gone. The visual fidelity is crisp, vibrant, and distinctly Mediterranean. But the real kicker is the "Pokemon Linking" mechanic. It’s a local phenomenon that binds two creatures together. From a collector's standpoint, it complicates the meta, but it makes the capture squad significantly more efficient.
And then there's "The Hole." It’s a roguelike facility. A dungeon that changes every time you enter. For a casual tourist, it's a fun mini-game. For me? It's a high-stakes grinding facility where I hunted down rare items and TMs necessary for my competitive living dex. It’s brutal, it’s random, and I love it.
QUALITY OF LIFE (THE GOOD STUFF)
I almost cried when I checked the Department Store inventory. Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. No more dual-boxing emulators. No more crying over a Gengar I can't evolve. You buy the stone, you use the stone, you get the entry. Done.
The move sets are updated to Generation 9 standards. I saw a Dunsparce use Hyper Drill. It was beautiful. Best QoL: Infinite Repel system. It prompted me automatically when one wore off. Do you know how many button presses that saved me over a 90-hour run? Thousands. My thumbs are grateful.
THE ENDGAME
I thought I was done after the League. I was wrong. The map expanded. A whole new island opened up. Post-game is massive. Battle Frontier included. Well, technically it's a variation thereof, featuring rematches and legendary hunts that actually require brain cells to solve. There is an additional story chapter that ties up the loose ends of the Gadir lore. It’s meaty. It’s not just "here's a cave, go catch Mewtwo." It’s a proper expedition.
100% completion took me 85 hours. And that was with me sprinting. If you plan to shiny hunt the Gadirian forms, say goodbye to your family for a month.
MISSION DEBRIEF
Pokemon Gadir Deluxe isn't just a region; it's a hoarders' paradise. The sheer volume of content is staggering. There were moments of lag—minor stuttering in the visual feed when the weather effects got too intense—but nothing that corrupted the save data. If you have the itch to fill bars until they hit 100%, this is your next assignment.
