MISSION LOG: THE ABANDONED PARADISE
Timestamp: 03:42 AM. Location: Pallet Town Ruins (Flaming Grace Sector).
Pokedex Status: 0 / 802 (Panic inducing).
Caffeine Level: Critical.
I arrived in the Flaming Grace region with my capture net primed and my spreadsheets synchronized. The intel promised a biological density that defies the laws of physics: Over 800 species crammed into the standard Kanto topography. Gen 7 entities? Alola Forms in the local cave systems? My completionist cortex was firing on all cylinders. I was ready to grind until my thumbs fell off.
However, the atmospheric readings (Version 0.6.5 Alpha) indicate this dimension hasn't been stable since 2017. I'm looking at a half-built skyscraper of a region. It's beautiful, but there are holes in the floor.
THE CATCHABILITY INDEX
Let's talk about the dopamine triggers. The local deity, SpikeJolteon, implemented protocols that soothe my neuroses. Specifically, the evolutionary barriers have been dissolved.
- Trade Evolutions: Patched. I found that the Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. No need to dual-boot emulators to get a Gengar.
- Event Availability: NPCs are handing out Mythicals like candy. You can talk to specific locals to acquire starters and Castform.
- The Verdict: Theoretically, a Living Dex is possible without cheats.
I spent hours cross-referencing the "Pokemon Locations" documentation provided with the mission files. Having a map of where to find the 3% encounter rate mons is the only thing keeping me sane. I hate guessing.
ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS (DIFFICULTY & BUGS)
The hostile entities here are juiced. We aren't dealing with standard Team Rocket grunts; the Gym Leaders have modified stats and expanded move pools. It requires actual strategy, not just A-mashing. However, the "Alpha" nature of this reality creates anomalies.
FIELD NOTE: The region is unstable. I encountered texture glitches near the modified routes. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave or engaging with any script that looks custom-made. I lost 45 minutes of progress because a cutscene didn't trigger correctly.
THE ARCHIVES (DOCUMENTATION)
The best piece of tech in this region isn't the Master Ball; it's the PDF files. "General Changes," "Event Pokemon," and "Pokemon Locations." For a hunter like me, this is the bible. I don't have to wander aimlessly in the tall grass wondering if a Jangmo-o is actually in the code or if I'm hallucinating. It's there. I checked.
MISSION DEBRIEF
I wanted to love this expedition. The density of 800+ Pokemon in a FireRed base is a dream for my 100% completion addiction. But the trail goes cold. The 2017 timestamp on the last update is a tombstone. You can catch a lot, you can fight hard, but you will eventually hit the invisible wall of an unfinished project.
Final Count: I logged 14 hours before the instability became too much of a risk for my save file. Proceed with caution, fellow hunters.
